"WHAT?!" She yelled. "Yeah okay maybe I said that you were cute" I said "why are you so mad?" I asked "I don't know. Why am I so mad? Oh maybe because MY EX BEST FRIEND JUST TOLD ME HE THOUGHT I WAS CUTE! AND I DONT KNOW OH YEAH I USED TO HAVE THE HUGEST CRUSH ON HIM!" She was pissed

"Why does that make you mad?" I was very confused "your 11th birthday party. The sleepover" and with that she ran out of my house

"Guys lets play truth or dare" Parker said as we sat down in Payton's living room floor "I'm down" I said "same" Payton replied.

"Okay um Kathryn truth or dare?" Parker asked "um truth" I said "do you like anyone?" He asked. I get instantly red.

"Yeah" at the time I had a crush on Payton. "Oh?" Payton asked "shut up" I said hiding my face. "Who is it sunshine?" He asked.

"You don't know him. He's my dads friends son" I said lying. "Oh. Okay" he said. After it was Parker's turn again he decided to ask Payton.

"Payton truth or dare?" "Truth" he said with a smile "do you think Kathryns cute?" He asked. Parker knew I had a crush on Payton.

"Well I mean like as in a friend way nothing more. Like I don't think she's cute enough for me to date her" those word stung.

*Kathryn POV*
I ran to my house when I got there I got into my car and started to drive. Since I had Payton on my mind I ended up at the place we used to sneak out to.

I sighed and got out. The place was a little tree house.

I walked in to a whole lot of memories. It looked like someone had been keeping it clean. Everything was the same how the bean bags were placed, up to all of the lights, and all of the pictures on a bulletin board.

I looked at all the pictures to soon find the one that was always my favorite.

I tear slipped down my cheek as I looked at the place where I spent so much time. The place I had my first kiss with the boy who I loved.

"Have you had your first kiss?" I asked Payton as I sat down "no" he said. We were 11. "Everyone at school has. Isn't it weird that we haven't?" I asked

"I mean a little.....hey I have a great idea" he said "what?" I asked "why don't we kiss. You know so that when we get into a relationship and it goes to that we already know what to do" he said

"Oh okay" I said Payton had been my crush for 4 years. He sat in front of me and leaned in. Sparks where everywhere, I had butterflies in my stomach.

"How was that?" He asked "um i-it was good" I said shocked "only good maybe I didn't do it right. Let me try again" he said.

"No Payt it's okay it was really good" I said even though I wanted to kiss him again. "Are you sure?" He asked scared "yes" I said with a smile

I was a crying mess by this point. I texted my dad to see how he was doing.

My father

Me; hey dad how are you doing?

My father: I'm doing great. Have you talked to Payton?

Me: eh kind of I don't think we'll ever be friends again tho

My father: hey it was worth a shot. I've got to go love you

Me: love you too

My eyes started to feel heavy after I started to calm down. I slowly drifted off to sleep.

*Payton POV*
Kathryn has been gone for a few hours so I decided to see if she went home. When I walked out of my house I saw that her car wasn't there.

"Um guys.....I don't know where Kathryn is" I said as I ran back into my house. Both Parker and Dylan looked at me.

"We need to find her" so many things here going through my head. What if she got into a car accident, what if she hurt herself. I was crying at this point.

I got in my car and went to everyplace I could possibly think of. Except one. The tree house, I go there to calm down I keep it clean.

As I drove the guys were really confused. As I pulled up I told them to say in the car. I walked up to see the lights on.

I walked in and saw Kathryn passed out on a beanbag she looked like she had been crying. I sat down on the other bean bag.

I had this strong urge to kiss her. I mean this was where we had our first kiss. She looked so peaceful as she slept.

I did it I got up and kissed her. Sparks where flying. She started to kiss back. I soon felt a sting on my cheek.

"WHAT THE HELL?" She yelled "I-I I'm sorry" I said not knowing what to do. "Why the hell are you here?" She asked.

"You've been gone for awhile and I got worried" I said "worried you where worried?" She asked in a sarcastic sad tone.

"Yes" I said "whatever" she said rolling her eyes. "Why do you hate me so much? What did I do to you huh?" I asked "you know exactly what you did. You broke a fucking promise" she said.

"No I didn't" I replied "you'll always be my best friend right?"...........
