Today was the day I had been dreading, going back to school I put on some skinny jeans, a yellow t-shirt, and my vans.
I walked downstairs and said bye to my dad and Trevor. I got in my car and played All I want by Kodaline "if you loved me, why'd you leave me?"
When I got out of my car everyone was looking at me. I walked in and went to the office "Well if it isn't Kathryn Briggs" the front deck guy Barry said
"Hey Barry" I said with a smile "how have you been girly?" He asked "I've been great" I said lying.
Moms funeral was tomorrow and I wasn't ready. "Well I guess you're here for your schedule" he said handing me a pice of paper "yes I am" I said taking the paper from his hands
"Thanks Barry" I said leaving "no problem Kathryn see you 7th" he said "okay bye" I chuckled

I already like this schedule. I walked into Mrs. Ann's room and she smiled at me. "Class you may remember Kathryn Briggs" she said to the class
"Hey Kathryn you came back" Kaden said (Kaden is Makaylas boyfriend) "yeah" I said sitting down in the back fo the class.
"Hey you look good for just having a kid" someone said "I wasn't ever pregnant" I said frustrated. "Okay class settle down and start reading to poem I gave you last week quietly to yourself" Mrs.Ann said
The entire day I kept getting 'congratulations on the baby' 'how's being a mom?' 'Why are you back I thought you got kicked out?' I was on my last straw it was finally 7th period which meant I got to spend time in the office
"Hey Kathryn I'll be right back can you hold down the fort?" Barry asked "of course" I smiled. I sat in silence doing my homework when I heard a knock
"Come I'm in" I said looking up "hey um can I see the nurse I think I broke my wrist?" a young guy probably a freshman asked "yeah she has a student right now but as soon as she's done with them then you can go in" I said
"Hey so how's your kid" He asked "I DID NOT HAVE A KID" I yelled "mama's mad" he said "Can I help you?" The nurse asked "yeah" the boy said standing up.
When I got home I started to cry and ran up to my room "Kafwin what's wrong?" I heard Deyton say as he knocked on my door "n-nothings wrong I just needed to cry bubba" I said opening the door to see my 4 year old baby brother
"Did you not have good day?" He asked hugging my legs "no but it's ok because everyday gets better" I said picking him up and kissing his cheek
I walked over to Payton's and saw him out side on his skate bored with Parker . "Hey payt" I said sadly "what's wrong sunshine?" He asked walking over to me
"All I got asked all day was about a stupid baby they doesn't even exist" I said starting to cry again "hey hey shh it's okay" he said hugging me.
Payton POV I felt so bad for her Kathryn has has the worst past couple of days. "Why don't you stay the night tonight, we can get McDonald's, watch movies, bake cookies" I said hugging her "Payt my moms funeral is tomorrow" she said
"I know but I'll make sure we don't stay up to late" I said with a slight smile "okay I'll get my things" she said with a tiny smile.
I made sure Kathryn had a good night before a bad day. We were watching Toy story 4 while eating McDonald's and cookies.
"Thank you payt" she said "for what sunshine?" I asked "making me feel better" she said hugging me. "Any time sunshine any time" I said hugging her back.
Kathryn POV/ next day I woke up to Payton shaking me lightly. "Kathryn it's time to get up" I just groaned "come on beau-sunshine" he said. Did he almost call me beautiful?
"Okay okay I'm up" I said stretching "I'm gonna go home and get dress" I said "okay sunshine. I'll see you later" he said kissing my forehead.
I got home and changed

I put on some mascara and a nude lipstick. I curled my hair and put on a necklace I got from my mom.
The entire service I some how didn't cry well my speech.
"Thank you all for coming" I started looking at Payton who gave me a slight smile. "My mom, Maria Jane was an amazing woman. She never let anyone go with out a smile. She was an amazing mom Thee as well. Even though I didn't get to see her as much as I wanted I could always call her if I needed help. I remember one time I was trying to figure out how to tell the guy I liked that I liked him, my mom said just tell him even if he doesn't feel the same way it's okay, because I love you and that's all that matters. My mom made everyone feel loved and even though she's not here she still will. Thank you all f-for coming to the service" I said starting to cry at the end
Payton came and hugged me after the service. "Do you want company on your ride home?" He asked "n-no I'm good. Thank you though Payt" I said
"No problem sunshine" he said hugging me and kissing my head. When I got into my car I just cried and cried.
I decided to drive around for a bit I turned my phone off and turned off my radio so it was completely quiet.
