Today was the day I was going to see Payton on the lights out tour. I got up and got dressed

(She used to be like a normal teen until her and Payton stoped talking)

I straighten my hair and put on some mascara with chapstick. I walked down stairs and smiled at Evelynn. "Ready to go see your boyfriend?" She asked with a smirk.

"He's not my boyfriend he's my best friend" I said getting into her car. "You two will get together one day I'm telling you" she said.

"Whatever" I said rolling my eyes playing Choose by Why Don't We. "We're here" she said stopping the car.

"Are you excited?" She asked as she saw me smiling. "Yes I miss him so much" I said. "Okay weirdo lets go" she said.

Payton POV
I sat backstage waiting for the meet and greet to start. I texted Kathryn for like the 1000th time. She usually answers me fast.

I've liked Kathryn for as long as I can remember. I've been to scared to tell her because I don't wanna mess up our friendship.

"Yo Payton ready for the meet and greet?" Noen asked. "Yeah" I said putting phone in my back pocket. We all walked out and my eyes immediately see her.

The world most beautiful girl. "You good Payton? You zoned off" Chase H said "huh what? Oh yeah I'm good" I said following him.

We did the m&g and finally came to the last person Kathryn. She gave everyone a hug in order. Anthony, Jaden, Chase K, Noen, Chase H, and lastly me.

"Hi sunshine" I said hugging her really tight. "Hi Payt" she replied "you two know each other?" I heard Jaden ask.

"Guys this is Kathryn my best friend" I said as she waved at everyone. "Hi" she said.

Kathryn POV
I politely waved and smiled at everyone. "So your the girl he's constantly talking about"  Anthony said I started to blush.

I looked at Payton and he looked embarrassed. "You okay payt?" I asked "yeah I'm fine" he said with a smile.

His fucking smile kills me every time. " okay" I said as he grabbed my hand. "Let's go get something to eat. Like old times sunshine" Payton said

"Okay. But I get to pick." I said with a smile. "Okay" he said laughing. We got to the place I picked and sat down.

"How's life been without me here?" He asked "terrible. I haven't been able to watch any teen romance movie without thinking of you" I said "wait I didn't mean it like that.....I meant how they connect with each other is like how we connect"

"Kathryn I new what you meant" he said with a little laugh. "So uh do you have a girlfriend yet?" I asked.

"No. What about you, you got a boyfriend?" He asked "yeah actually I do. His names Chancler" I said Payton looked upset.

"Oh well I bet he's awesome" he said. Yeah by awesome you mean really fucking abusive. "You know that I still see the black eye" he said "what?" I asked

"Kathryn your make up didn't cover that black eye. Wait why do you have a black eye?" He said concerned. "I was playing with a little boy I baby sit and he hit me in the eye with his baseball." I said

"Okay" he said. After we caught up we parted ways. I really miss him and i want to talk to him more . But since tour  we haven't talked as much as usual.

As I was leaving the place and bumped into someone. It was Anthony "hey do you know where Payton is?" He asked "right in there" I said.

"Thanks" he said walking into the place.

Payton POV
Kathryn has a boyfriend. The girl I love has a boyfriend. What do I do? I was pulled out of my thoughts by Anthony.

"Dude we've been looking for you" he said "why? Is everything okay?" I asked "yeah. We just wanted to get some food then go swimming at the pool" he said

"Oh" I said laughing. After we ate and swam I posted on Instagram.

I'm still in shock at the fact that she didn't tell me that she has a boyfriend. We tell each other everything.

~ 3 months later/ Kathryn POV ~
Payton hasn't texted, called, snapped, or even FaceTimed me in three months. I decided to call him

When I called him it got declined. Huh that's weird. So I decided to text him

Payt🌷

Me: hey

Payt🌷: *read at 12:59 pm*

He never leaves me in read. I remember the day he told me he would always be my best friend and that he'd always text/ call me back. What the hell happened?

(End of flashback)

"You'll always be my best friend right?" She said crying. "Kathryn....I-I'm sorry" I said remembering now.

"Save it Payton. I don't wanna hear it....I LOVED YOU OKAY, AND YOU BROKE A FUCKING PROMISE. You broke your promise, and you broke me." And with that she ran out of the tree house.

"KATHRYN!" I yelled.

~Kathryn POV~
I got in my car and drove off. I called my dad on the way.

Calling My Father
My Father: what's up angel?
Me: dad?
My Father: are you okay?
Me: no not really.....um I-I was wondering if I could live with mom?...
My Father: D-did I do something?
Me: no dad it wasn't you it's a long story I just can't be near Payton anymore.
My Father: yeah....okay I'll talk to her about it
Me: thank you....I love you bye
My Father: I love you too.

A/n sorry it took me so long to update I'm in my high school's winter guard and we've had competitions here lately but um anyway I'll try to update sooner. Bye loves 🌷
