Chapter 3B

hello everyone!! so here is the second part of 3rd chapter...to be honest this was very long too...so i tried my best to cut it short. hopefully the length of the chapter doesnt ruin it...

btw "***" is indicative of start and stop of flashbacks

(the night of Betty's return)

    Alice narrowed her eyes on him while he slowly walked towards his house and for Betty, while she went inside smiling as well.
     Archie walked step by step to his house as slow as possible; thinking to himself.

(the day after Betty-Archie conversation)

Archie was nervous; almost sweating even...he finally made up his mind and went up to Betty house the next morning. Archie had stayed back at his home that day, after the enlightening session with Betty the before night he decided he needs to be there for his mother too. His mother was more than just happy when he told her that he would be staying at the house for time being. Both the mother and son had a long "heart-to-heart" talk after so long.

The door to Betty home opened suddenly breaking Archie out of his thoughts, he saw Alice standing there staring at him like usual. "Good morning Mrs. Coop...ah Miss. Smith..." Alice smiled lightly at the fumbling Archie at the door, "Hey Archie! What are you doing standing outside yet not ringing the bell?" Alice questioned him casually.

Archie looked at Alice weirdly thinking how she knows he was standing outside, seeing his confused expression Alice answered "Charlie installed a camera at the door step after...you know everything that's been happening" Archie was clueless but he nevertheless nodded. Seeing him stand awkwardly Alice looked suspicious but she still invited him inside "Come on in!!" Archie walked passed Alice into the house. The house looked the same from what he remembers but it felt different, noted that he used come here every day.

"Thank you very much for the Pie Miss. Smith!!" Archie thanked her as he walked inside. Alice smiled "Well I particularly made for your mom...since she was living alone!" Alice commented with pointed judgy look at Archie who nodded averting his gaze away "Yah". "Ahmm...is Betty here? I wanted to talk to her?" Archie asked looking around, seeing Betty hadn't come down already. She always came down in an instant whenever he came over...mainly to save him from her mom's interrogations.

Alice nodded "Ya! She's in her room still packing?" Archie looked surprised at Alice. "Packing??" he asked a slow panic setting in, Alice had walked past him into the kitchen but she turned to answer him "Yes!! To go out of town...didn't you know" her cell phone rang at that moment momentarily stopping her. She turned back to see Archie already running upstairs, shrugging she went to attend the call.

Archie almost ran upstairs, and dashed into her room without knocking; he's entered her room a million times so this wasn't new to him. He saw Betty closing her suitcase while still talking in the phone; she wouldn't have noticed Archie if not for the 'thud' sound of the closing door. She looked over to see Archie standing, panting with a worried expression on his face. She immediately disconnected the call "Okay V! I'm gonna call you as soon as I reach...okay...bye, take care" and she stood up from her bed looking at Archie.

"Arch, Why are you panting? Is everything okay?" Betty asked concerned, Archie took a few steps ahead and asked almost out of breath "You're leaving??" Betty sighed and sat again on her bed "Yes!! Didn't I tell you yesterday!" she answered looking back at her suitcase.
