Chapter 3

~Sonic's POV~
For one I actually had a peaceful sleep. I saw shadow next to me cuddling my side. I blushed slightly yet smiled. It felt nice sleeping next to my crush. I'm glad he decided to help me with this. He's not like the others who got scared of my virus.
"Good morning sonic." Shadow startled and I jumped slightly.
"Good morning shadow." I chirped. I was always a morning person yet I don't know why. I then hear my communicator go off.
"Sonic! Eggman is attacking the city we need you!" Tails sounded scared, but I can understand him.
"On my way buddy." I got my shoes ON and was about to run out the door until shadow stopped me.
"Sonic wait."
"Shadow I cant! I have to go!" I got out of his grip and ran off. I got to the battlefield and saw Eggman wreaking havoc. I quickly defeated his army and his man robot. Shadow appeared seconds later as we were cheering about our victory. I then start to feel sick and wondered why it was starting not.
"Sonikku You did it!" Amy hugged me tight making it harder to not cough.
"A-amy let go of m-" I start to cough heavily feeling the slime making its way up my throat.
"Sonic?" Tails started to worry yet I held my breath.
"Sonic..." I looked at shadow as he said my name. "Let it out." As soon as he said that I started to cough even harder and feel the Slime drip quickly out of my mouth and onto the pavement.
~Shadow's POV~
"Let it out." As soon as I said that he coughed heavily. mucus-like slime started to drip out of his mouth heavily and onto the pavement. All of his friends gasped and tried to run over to him. "Don't touch him!" shouted at them and comforted sonic through him virus attack.
"You're acting like you've seen this before." The red echidna asked me.
"It is not my place to say." Was all I told them. It took two full minutes until the attack slowed down to a stop. He leaned on me, shakily and his breathing was ragged and quick. ¨You're okay. It's okay.¨ His breathing started to go back to normal yet he still leaned on me.
¨Are you okay sonic?¨ asked the fox.
¨Y-yeah.¨ He stuttered.
¨What happened?¨ Asked the pink brute.
¨I have the Zosa Virus.¨ sonic said quietly. I know why he did too. Amy hated that virus and thought all people were freaks whoever had it.
¨Ew! Sonic that is disgusting!¨ She cried out. I wanted to punch her just for saying that. Sonic started to cry.

¨Excuse me!¨ She was furious. I only laughed to chaos controlled her away.
¨Will he be okay?¨ asked the fox. I nodded while holding onto the slowly calming down blue hedgehog.
¨Are you okay sonic?¨ I asked him once he was fully calm. He nodded and smiled slightly. He explained to his friends about his virus. They all supported him which I was very grateful for him.
¨Shadow...¨ I looked at him. ¨I want the world to know who I am. Who I really am. Not just a Hero, A singer.¨ I smiled.
¨I'll support you all the way.¨ I hugged him and he hugged back. ¨I also know why It started to so early. Its the first day of spring.¨ He frowned and hugged me hiding his sobs. ¨Hey now, It's okay. Don't cry. This virus will not stop your dreams from becoming a reality. You're so much stronger than this stupid virus.¨ He moves away from me and smiles slightly.
¨Y-your right shadow. Now let's talk to moonlight to rent out the biggest stadium on Mobius.¨ sonic then ran off to find his manager. We all followed him and found him at a black and gold-colored house. Sonic came out of the house with the Umbreon mobian.
¨He already rented the stadium It will be a week from now. Iḿ so excited yet so nervous.¨ He jumped up and down with excitement. ¨I also have a show in a few hours in a school. Tollgate High I think. So you guys can come but you have to be backstage. O-Only if you want to that is.¨
¨Of course we want to sonic! You sing so well. How many songs are you doing?¨ asked the fo- no tails.
¨two songs.¨ sonic told us and we all got in a limo which I think this is Midnights. It took a told of two hours to get there and when we got there everything was all set up and ready for him. We all went backstage and waited for it to begin. To be honest, I was very excited to hear his voice again. It's so nice and it reminds me of flowers blowing in the wind.
¨everyone put your hands together for the dark sound!¨ someone said and sonic walked out from behind the curtain and music started.
¨I never meant to make it such a mess
I never thought that it would go this far¨ I automatically knew he was talking about how heś controlling me with his virus. He isn't.
¨So I just stand here sorry

There's nothing I can say¨ he starts to tear up slightly.
¨I guess I thought I could be part of this
I never had this kind of thing before
I never had that perfect girl
Who somehow could see the good part of me¨ he must believe that no one will love him with this virus.
¨I never had the dad who stuck it out
No corny jokes or baseball gloves
No mom who just was there
'Cause mom was all that she had to be¨ I remembered his parents left him because they were disgusted with his sickness.
¨That's not a worthy explanation
I know there is none
Nothing can make sense of all these things I've done¨ I start to tear up and I just wanted to go out there and hug him.
¨Words fail, words fail
There's nothing I can say¨ he then freezes and looks out to all of the kids.
¨Except sometimes, you see everything you wanted
And sometimes, you see everything you wish you had

And you want to believe it's true
So you make it true¨ he starts to let the tears fall.
¨And you think maybe everybody wants it
And needs it, a little bit too¨ I see some kids crying and I'm glad they feel sorry for him.
¨This was just a sad invention
It wasn't real, I know¨ he starts to stutter.
¨But we were happy
I guess I couldn't let that go
I guess I couldn't give that up
I guess I wanted to believe

Then I don't have to see what's really there¨ I then flashback when I first met him
¨No, I'd rather pretend I'm something better than these broken parts
Pretend I'm something other than this mess that I am¨ he took off his cloak with tears going down his eyes.
