Cynthia sat at her counter and took in her surroundings. Children and their parents flooded through the newly opened glass doors. Rows of ball games and hopplas were in use and the merry go round had a small queue for it. The main attraction was obviously the main stage containing the three main singing characters. Cynthia also noticed the little boy thing she saw on her way in was also an animatronic capable of movement and speech, handing out balloons to children and generally just acting like one of them. Playing tag and giggling at them when their parents told them off. The prize corner, however, was not so busy. "I guess no one's won enough tickets yet." Cynthia said sympathetically, noticing Mari's face turning into a slight frown. He smiled at this theory and turned around to her and nodded.
Ten minutes later, a small black haired girl came up to the counter with her mother, carrying a mass of tickets. "I won follow the leader and got all these tickets from Freddy!" She squealed excitedly. "Oh you did, did you?" Cynthia replied, putting on the tone that most adults used around children. "And what would you like?" "Hmmm... I don't know." Her eyes scrolled across the shelves until she finally noticed the big present box next to her. "What's that?" She asked. "Oh, that's for big prizes of 200 tickets or more. How many do you have?" She responded. "I don't know, I don't think I can count this high." "Pass them here and I'll count them for you." The girl begrudgingly handed them over and Cynthia proceeded to insert the long line into the machine. A minute later she had the receipt and handed it back, you have 367 tickets altogether. "I'm very good at Foxy's Water game as well. Can I see what's in the box now?" "Sure. Oh Mari!" She said enthusiastically, knocking on the top of the box. "We have a big winner." She waited for a bit and all of a sudden a music box version of pop goes the weasel started playing, slowly getting slower. Eventually it stopped and Mari burst out of the box fabulously, spreading his arms in a welcoming gesture. He leant towards Cynthia and pretended to whisper in her ear. "Yes, that's right Mari. This girl's won a big prize, which character's teddy would you like?" "I don't know." She replied. "Well, which is your favourite?" "I like them all." "Well maybe you can get one this time then come back to collect them all." "I'll have Freddy, he gave me all these tickets." Mari went into the box again and rummaged around a bit before bursting out just as majestically but this time he held a rosy cheeked smiling Freddy teddy that was larger and better quality than the ones on the shelf. The little girl squealed in excitement as Mari leaned towards her and handed her the teddy that was half the size of her. Her mum smiled and before the little girl could run off she said. "What do we say?" "Thank you!" The girl replied, before running off again. Cynthia turned around to Mari. "Did I do good considering it's my first customer?" She asked. He nodded rapidly and clapped his hands.
It was staff lunch time and although most other staff were in either the kitchen or the staff room, Cynthia couldn't leave her station. She sat on her swivel stool, poking her salad with a fork with her hand on chin just generally gossiping with Mari. "So that's Chica the chicken I assume." Mari nodded and rolled his white pupils in his black pits of eyes. "She's quite.... Uuurm...Flashy for a kids robot. And what's in there?" She asked, pointing to the open door where toddlers went through into the pastel coloured room. Mari pointed to the poster on the wall at a white Foxe's face wearing lipstick and pointed to the toddlers. "Why is the one for toddler's the most creepy?" He shrugged his shoulders and slumped down into the same position as her, minus the salad poking. All of a sudden her eyes widened. "Oh my god, that's the guy from earlier! He works here?!" She squealed before launching off her stool and underneath the stand. She poked her head round. "Pretend I'm not here." Mari nodded and turned to notice he was coming straight for them. "You all alone Mari?" He asked. Mari shook his head. "Then wear is your supervisor?" He pointed to the main hall. "Gone to the bathroom?" He nodded and waved as he walked off. Mari then knocked on the table three times. Cynthia poked her head out. "Is it safe to come out now?" She asked. He nodded and gave her a judging look. "No!" She exclaimed, guessing what he was thinking. "It's not like that, I just didn't want to have to talk to someone who I'd just fainted in front of yesterday." Mari gave her a confused look before throwing his hands in the air and retreating back into his box.
A few customers later, an orange glow swept through from all the windows and doors and the last customers left. "I've gotta go Mari. Don't want to be noticed by you know who." Cynthia said grabbing her salad box before realising something. "Damn it, I need to go grab my clothes. Night Mari!" She called as she snook through the empty pizzeria. She opened the door into the main hall and walked cautiously towards the staff room. Just when she reached the door she felt a tap on her shoulder. Cynthia turned slowly to be met face to face by the slim chicken she now knew was Chica. "Hi!" She said enthusiastically. Cynthia jumped a bit, causing Chica to laugh. "Heheh I don't bite." Cynthia's mind started racing at these word and she tried to fit together the blurry image that fractured in her mind. Just then, the door opened behind them and they both turned to see who it was. Cynthia's heart skipped a beat. There in the door was a guy, with brown rugged hair and sunglasses. Wearing a Freddy Fazbear's hat and security uniform that showed off his slightly muscular, tanned arms. He carried a flashlight in one hand and a large Freddy Fazbear head under his other arm. "Hiiiiii Mike." She giggled flirtatiously. "He walked past silently and stared at them both, before carrying on down the hallway to the security office at the end of the hall. "Yeah, that's Mike. Our night watchman. He's a cutie isn't he, that rugged, mysterious aura is so hot!" She squealed, fanning herself with her hand. "I don't suppose he likes us at night when we go into night mode." "Night mode?" Cynthia asked.
"Oh yes, I forget you're the new girl. Every night the manager leaves us on so we don't go all creaky and stuff and we sort of don't have much control at night. But recently he set us to slow walk so Mike has a better time, we used to have Jeremy, but he got hospitalised after getting his braces stuck in Mangle he should be better soon though then he'll be put in day shift. Oh that reminds me, we all need to go put him, her, it, back together. Until next time, new girl!" She waved as she walked off. "But!" Cynthia called back. That conversation had sparked so many questions in her mind. She looked over at the security office and noticed Mike had took his sunglasses and cap off and had started pushing televisions in front of the air vents. He looked up at her and she awkwardly scuffled into the staff room. Cynthia grabbed her stuff and decided it was best to get changed at home, she didn't want to take her chances with a sleep walking cheerleader chicken and her friends. As she left the staff only area she pressed her ear against the parts and service door to try and listen for that noise. Just then she was interrupted by a stern voice. "Move." She jumped back and noticed Mike was stood behind her with a padlock and chain. He proceeded to wrap the chain around the door handle several times then locked the padlock and tucked the key into his pocket. He then turned around and stared at her, his emerald green eyes piercing her. "I haven't seen you before." He finally stated. "Yes, no, urrr, hello." She said awkwardly shaking hands with him. "I'm new here." "Well you better get out of here soon, they'll be closing up in a minute, and believe me, you don't want to be here overnight." Cynthia pointed to the tightly secured door. "What's in there?" She asked. "Why don't you take the night shift and find out." He said solemnly before laughing and walking down the corridor, whistling The Toreador's Song. "Doo doo. Doo doo doo." His whistling slowly got quieter and Cynthia hurried down the hallway, making sure not to slip on the tiles. She made it out into the street and was basked in the apricot coloured glow over her. Soon enough she was home and after having a bath was tucked up in bed and fast asleep, unaware of what Mike was going through at the pizzeria.
(Yes I do know Mike should have been in the old pizzeria but I didn't have room for him there so I thought I'd put him in this one. And you're all probably annoyed that Cynthia is eyeing up pizzeria staff and not Foxy senpai, but just remember, for all she knows Foxy is a white, pink monstrosity that she hasn't even met yet. She doesn't even know he exists, but let me tell you when they finally are reunited and she doesn't know who he is I might actually cry. The feels are real!)
