Aria hadn't spoken to Pan in a week. He hadn't come over to visit her either. It seemed that the friendship they were getting used to was fizzling out before it could spark. Aria told herself it wouldn't bother her, but it would. She'd got used to having company, and without it she'd feel lonely again. Pan obviously thought she still hated him, but could he blame her. She should've known he'd keep trying to kill her. Peter Pan doesn't like losing.
Torn between reconciling with her attempted murderer or just blocking him out, Aria paced around her fire as she waited for the fish over it to cook. She washed her face and took a drink from the spring before having her breakfast. Feeling more contented on a full stomach Aria put out the fire and went for a walk. Again she had told herself it was just to clear her head, but deep down she hoped Pan would show so she could sort things between them.
She reached the beach and walked down towards Pan's end but still no contact with the Lost Boy. She sighed and sat staring at the ocean.
"Oh, Aria it's you," Jacob said. Aria turned to see the friendlier Lost Boy and was glad to talk to him.
"Hey how's it been. Haven't seen you in a week," Aria smiled back. She'd been avoiding visiting the camp as it was almost always the one place where you could guarantee Pan would be.
Jacob looked over his shoulder before sitting beside Aria. "Yeah, we're good. Pan seems... different though."
"I may have slapped him. Not without reason of course. Fourth time wasn't the charm either," Aria complained.
"He tried to kill you again?" Jacob asked.
"Are you actually surprised? I shouldn't have been. I'm trust people quickly, my fatal flaw I guess," Aria spoke.
"It's not a bad flaw. I don't think you're a bad person Aria, it's why he hates having you around."
"Thanks Jacob. I think maybe I'm going to try patch things up between us."
"Good, the Lost Boys will be glad to hear it."
The pair heard footsteps approaching and Aria got up with a finger to her lips and dashed down the beach and into the forest so that any onlookers wouldn't see them together. Particularly if it was Pan or Felix. Well she thought she was warming up to Felix a little. It helped when her and Pan has become friends as it meant she saw a lot more of the obedient Lost Boy. Felix was probably the only other person other than Pan who had been inside her camp.
Aria walked back, but the route the island had pushed on her was not familiar. Knowing it had its reasons she stayed the course. Coming out into a small clearing, Aria saw the cage hanging and below it Felix was giving whoever was inside some food. Aria tried to remain hidden, but Felix spotted her. A smirk flashed on his face and moments later Pan was by her side.
"I thought you'd died or something. Too bad really," Pan commented as he saw her.
"Look I'm here to set things straight. Also since when did you cage people?" Aria asked, a little discomforted by the hanging bars.
"Since always. Now are you going to stop being a nuisance or—"
"Or what? You'll kill me. We know you can't touch me. First the cage, let them go," Aria demanded.
"I can't do that," Pan coolly replied.
"Can't or won't?" Aria challenged.
"Won't. She stole the heart of Neverland from me."
"She? No way—Wendy Darling stole the heart of Neverland!? Why didn't you just get it back?"
"She gave it to her brothers and they escaped."
