"Wei Ying we should go till someone comes," Lan Zhan said grabbing Weis hand taking him to his room. Wei couldn't even object. Lan Zhan's hand was wrapped tightly around Weis wrist almost hurting him. Wei didn't know how to react, his hand hurt from the pressure but he didn't dare to stop him. Lan Zhan passed Wei's room and continued to go to his room. After a while they finally reached Lan Zhan's room. It was clean and it had an aroma of lavender. His clothes we neatly folded and put away, the incense was burning slowly. "Why are we in your room?" Wei asked confused. He had no idea why he was there and Lan Zhan wouldn't speak. Lan Zhan pulled Wei into his room and pushed him up against the door. Inches away from Wei's face he closed the space and roughly kissed his lips. It was slow but you could feel the intensity behind every motion they took. Wei was shocked but he melting into the kiss letting Lan Zhan take control. Weis whole body tensed up when Lan Zhan moved his hand down Wei's chest and under his clothes to feel up and down his bare skin. "L-lan Zhan" Weis whole body was trembling. He felt amazing, feeling Lan Zhan's hand explore his body, it sent chills down his spine making his back arch.
"Lan Zhan?" a voice came from the other side of the door. Wei panicked he quickly pushed Lan Zhan away and pulled his shirt down. Lan Zhan stumbled back and glared at the door. "Yes brother," Lan Zhan said calmly, he didn't like being interrupted but he know his brother would just walk in if he had not answered. "Is young master Wei okay?" Lan Xichen asked. "He is fine now but is resting" Lan Zhan replied wishing his brother would go away. "May I come in to speak with him?" Lan Xichen asked. "Yes you may" Wei said walking toward the door "thank you," Lan Xichen said opening the doors. He looked up at Wei and Lan Zhan and smiled. "I see you both are doing well" Lan Zhan smirked. Wei blushed and rubbed his nose with his finger. Lan Xichen felt as welcoming as he was 16 years ago, he hasn't changed at all. Wei Smiled from the small flashback from when they first met, it was when Wei had broken the Gusu Lan Clans rule that drinking was forbidden in the Cloud Recess.
"Young master Wei I wanted to make sure you were alright after the incident," Lan Xichen said. "I'm doing alright" Wei reassured Xichen. Lan Zhan was mad that his brother came in but he felt happy that his brother also cared about Wei Ying. "Let's have some tea sometime Young Master Wei" Lan Xichen added before stepping out of the room and shutting the door to leave them in complete silence.
It was now night time, Wei returned to his cold empty room. Its was so silent that if you dropped something everyone would wake up. Wei took off his clothes and threw them onto the dresser and put on his sleeping robe to go to bed. He pulled out a glass of wine and poured it for himself. Oh, how he has missed the taste of wine. Wei sat there listening to the sound of the wind come threw his open window looking out at the night sky. It was peaceful but it only reminded him of watching the stars with his older sister. His whole mood dropped he couldn't stand the fact that she's gone. He couldn't stand thinking about it so he put the wine away and laid in bed hoping his dreams wouldn't turn into nightmares.
Wei fell into sleep, literally, he was falling at the same spot he died. 16 years ago after killing hundreds of people, innocent people. They were only trying to protect themselves and their clans. He saw the faces of his family, his sister, his brother, his mother, and Lan Zhan. His family looked at him with disgust and fear while his sister and Lan Zhan were there reaching out. No matter how hard he tried to grab their hands it never worked. He cried and cried over and over. Weis whole body was shaking, he was yelling in his sleep. "No!" he didn't want to die "don't go!" he never stopped yelling those words. His yelling woke up everyone around him. Lan Zhan and Lan Xichen were there first. Lan Zhan's heart broke seeing Wei Ying in such a state. Lan Zhan ran over to Wei's bedside hoping he could provide some comfort. "Wei Ying wake up!" Lan Zhan yelled but he wouldn't wake up like he was stuck there.
Wei stopped falling but what he came to see next was brutal. He sat there watching his father and mother get killed over and over by the Wen Clan. He watched as they stabbed, kicked, and whipped them over and over. He felt as if his heart was being torn out of his chest. Its stopped but only now was it his sister, she sat there pale, dressed in white, Tears falling from her eyes to her dress. Her lips chapped and bleeding from the harsh ceremony of her husband's death. His body was frozen, he couldn't move, he wanted to. Stab by, stab by stab. It wouldn't stop. Blood was everywhere on him, on his sister, on the stone floor. He wanted to die, he wanted to stop living.
Lan Xichen pulled out his flute and started playing, Lan Zhan did the same but with his Guqin. The song they played was beautiful but it didn't seem to work. Lan Zhan only knew one other song that could work, it was their song. The song Lan Zhan wrote for Wei to pretty much confess to him. Lan Zhan began playing the song, Lan Xichen put down his flute to see his brother play a song that he himself did not know. Lan Xichen tried to think but nothing came to mind. Xichen has read every book in the Library Pavilion. "What song is that" Xichen whispered. Lan Zhan despite the music being loud could hear what Xichen said. "It's a song I wrote 16 years ago," Lan Zhan said looking up at his brother. "For Wei" Lan Zhan added before turning back to his Guqin.
Wei started to hear voices, not from his dream but from something else. "Hello?" Wei said hoping he finds it, his way out of this nightmare. Wei was falling again but this time slowly. He was calming down, slowly but he could finally sleep. Wei immediately thought of Lan Zhan, he was helping him sleep. His presence was strong yet calming. "Lan Zhan?" Wei questioned. Wei mumbled Lan Zhan's name making Lan Zhan's head go up immediately hoping he was awake. Lan Zhan stopped playing and went to his side to see if he was waking up. Wei started to wake up after feeling Lan Zhan's hand on his chest. "Wei Ying," Lan Zhan said looking into Wei's eyes like he was scared of losing him again. "Lan Zhan is that you?" Wei asked trying to open his eyes. "Wei Ying are you okay," Lan Zhan asked. "I'm okay" Wei replied. Wei wasn't okay, tears were falling down his face. Lan Zhan lifted his hand and rubbed away the tears from Wei's face.
"You're not okay," Lan Zhan said.
