       * A peek inside my upcoming poetry book*

A touch is felt,
A tear shed.
A simple embrace,
helps to clear.

Mist that haunted my mind,
my thoughts, a tangled mess.
Wounds deep in my heart,
awaiting a simple kiss.

A yearning for happiness,
A peaceful life.
A chance for others,
to get to see,
what's behind,
my simple smile.

Secrets spoken,
softly, in their ears.
But hardly heard,
for silence,
most don't hear.

A simple embrace,
helps me feel.
A pinch of happiness,
that is really real.

Calm, somehow.
Not like the mess inside.
I don't mind how long I can hide,
the mess behind,
this skin that hides my heart.
I've yet not fallen apart.
