Hiccup's POV
I stood next to Aloe's bed and watch. She had lost a lot of blood and wasn't waking at her usual time. I heard a scream, ran down stairs, got on Toothless and took towards it. We rushed to find a whispering death, about to fire at a girl I didn't quite recognize. We flew down, and I got off Toothless. In my periphery I saw Aloe awake and running. I pushed the girl away, Aloe was making her way, now slowly, head turned away, arm outstretched. She was trying to tame him! She stopped right before she touched it's nose. He leaned towards her in a sign that he wouldn't attack her. She looked at the newly tamed dragon and smiled. I helped the girl up, now seeing it was Heather. She was about to fall again but was helped up by the two dragons, her loyal Nightstaker and the newly tamed one. She got back up and smiled again, now at me. I hugged her,"Dad?"She asked shaky."Yes Aloe."
"I told you I could tame one on my own. After all, I am your daughter."She said with a smerk. Her friend Stricker came up to her, I nodded in approval, seeing as he felt the same way about her as I did about Astrid when we were their age.
"Aloe! I'm so glad you're okay! I heard about last night, it must've been terrible. Are you hurt nothing broken?"He asked. I was beginning to see the same spark that bonded Astrid and I in their eyes. I smiled. It hit hard that my little girl was growing up, but I wasn't going to get in the way. I saw Heather stiffen. She wasn't jealous but protective. She did find someone who loved her, and had their son, Stricker. We settled on them just being friends, not together. I gave her the chief look that intimidated people.
They got on their dragons and flew off, Aloe doing dangerous stunts I envied to do."Why are you letting this happen! Give them that look! We had a deal..."She ranted."You can't control other's emotions. Stop trying to."I worned. She stomped off. Astrid came up to me, shaking her head."Young lov.."She stopped, we stared at the most amusing site I'd ever seen. Heather had walked up to the two fourteen year-olds, making Stricker made. He then, making Heather even more mad, he kissed Aloe. Wait a second. He kissed Aloe? My fatherly instincts kicked in and I got on Toothless, not thinking. I flew over to them and saw Heather trying pull Aloe away. I grabbed her shirt, forgetting the teenagers making out. I scowled at her. The sight of my daughter making out with her second best friend returned to my sight.
"Finally, she's gone. I have to admit that worked perfectly, your dad did come."He said. I raised my eyebrows."Sorry, dad. It was the only thing that came to mind."
Aloe's POV
~Before the kiss~
I flew off next to Stricker. Gods, his eyes killed me. The chocolate eyes I craved to always look into. He smiled knowing I'd regained my strength. I smiled back. We landed at a small plateau, his mom stomped towards us."Oh, mom!"he complained. She started lecturing us about something, I didn't know. I then thought of a genius plan."Stricker?"I whisper"I have a plan. Kiss me."I told him. He looked surprised."My dad'll come and drive her off. Just kiss me you wimp."The last part drove him to, probably to shut me up.
He kissed, and to his surprise, I kissed back. He was best kisser I knew, and I'd kissed more guys then him. I was right, out of my periphery, my dad was racing towards us. Heather(Stricker's mom) started pulling me away. I clung to Stricker not letting go. My dad soon pulled her off and scowled at her. She ran off again.
"Finally, she's gone. I have to admit, that work perfectly, your dad did come."Stricker complemented. Dad raised his eyebrows."Sorry dad, it was the only thing that came to mind."I sheepishly explained."Ohf! OH yah, I forgot. I named the new dragon... Demon, cause he was such a demon and first, then became an angel, like Nightstaker."
