Late night singing (late night update, too!)

Hey guys! I'm sorry I haven't been updating much. This is my most read story, so it'll be updated more then my others. I know I said in Hiccstrid gone modern that I now have some sort of a schedule, but I said to myself instead 'You know what, screw the schedule that's way to much work! I'm just gonna be lazy like always!' So I've scraped the schedule now, just a heads up! As for the chapter, it's a month after Kate took Aloe and Hiccup found out about their youngest family member(so far! jk) and, yah! I've babbled on long enough, you guys are probably bored to death. Hiccup POV

I walked into the room my daughters were in. I still couldn't believe I had two daughters and didn't know about one for ten years! Kate did remind me of Astrid though, same brilliant blue eyes, same blond hair, same unbelievable strength! She was strong for a ten year old! She nearly gave me a concussion when she hit me with that frying pan! And Aloe was with her, she seemed to have such an easy time grasping the hardest things, I mean, she had a sister she never knew about till now and she's completely okay with it! My daughters truly are amazing, and Aloe would be an amazing chief.

I didn't walk completely into the room, just enough to see and hear without being seen or heard myself. They were talking, just talking"How come you have to be chief when you're older?"Asked Kate. A slight laugh came with Aloe's reply"Because we have no brothers and I'm the eldest or oldest child in the family. But I don't have to start preparing for six years."I quietly laughed to myself, she'd make an excellent mother, too."I'm not tired, can you sing?"Kate asked in a childish tone."If you say so."She replied. As soon as I heard Aloe start sing the one song I had only heard Astrid sing to her when she was little, I wanted to cry. She only sang a small portion, but it was enough to send a thousand souls to Valhalla.

I nearly clapped when she finished, but that would wake the now peacefully sleeping Kate. I would be sleeping too if I wasn't standing. I hurried out of the room, careful not to make a sound. How could I not have known how talented Aloe was. Her voice was like angel itself, and I've always loved her anyway. How has she shared wonderful gift with her parents? That angered me, but I pushed it down. I wasn't about to make her amazing singing voice into some stupid side show on Snoggletog!(Sorry if I spelled that wrong!)I wouldn't keep it a complete secret, but I wasn't going to go tell the world, unless she wanted me to.

"Where were you?"Astrid interrogated me."I was going here and got caught by something I heard."It wasn't a complete lie, therefore I was okay, I think."What would that be?"

"What is this some sort of interrogation? I heard Aloe singing! She's really talented!"I said slipping into bed. Astrid came closer to me, putting a hand on my face. I gazed into her wondrous eyes. How could a guy like me end up so lucky to have a woman like her? One of life's great mysteries."Hiccup, I know you expect little from her and are extremely proud, but maybe raise the expect a little more for her now that she has her little sister."I nodded. Why is Astrid always right, and I mean always."Yah I guess. But she really is extremely talented!"She rolled her eyes. I kissed her and we fell asleep, ending up with her in my arms.
