SUMMARY!
Ember Casilla was a fighter.
She fought her way to try and get to the top of her classes, growing closer every day. Ember was determined to be one of the best mechanics, hopefully to be good enough some day to work alongside the best zero-g mechanic seen in years. Ember knew she was smart. She was intelligent, too stubborn to back down from the obstacles set in her way. She knew she could do it. She was just desperate to prove herself.
And maybe building bombs wasn't always the best idea. Ember couldn't lie and say she didn't enjoy the feeling of the weight in her hand, knowing the weight of what she was creating and holding could potentially destroy anything in its path. Drawn in by her intense interest and creative spark, the past chancellor Diana Sydney uses Ember's thirst for her own selfish needs and convinces her that she's forming a team and if Ember helps her, it'll look too good on her record for the apprentices in mecha station to ignore. She could officially be a mechanic if she just builds a few harmful bombs for her.
And to do so, Ember needs more and more materials. One isn't enough. She is unaware of the mistake she makes when she steals from her own station and is easily caught as she's not the best thief. But Ember, being the fighter, refuses to give up. She's only put down when a guard presses his electric baton to her back and drags her to the Skybox to await her review, alone.
Until she's dragged to Earth and discovers everything she thought she knew was a lie - and now, Ember is fighting for redemption. She'll be damned before a boy named John Murphy gets in her way.
