She stood her there in shock. The clouds was dark, rain storm. "What?!" She loudly asked. "I think we should break up. I have so much on my plate right now and you're distracting me from my goal. I can't do it with you in the way." Kageyama said. Tears ran down the girl's face. "Tobio say you're just joking. Tell me you're not forreal! Is that really all I am to you, a distraction? Did everything we had mean nothing to you? Was it all a game?" She asked with a shaky voice.
"Volleyball and my studies are more important. I have giving them all my attention so I can shine this year. I just don't want you fucking it up for me." He explained showing no remorse. "I'm going to fuck up it up for you? Tobio I love you please don't do this to me. Please don't leave me. I can change, I can be better." She pleaded to the boy as she held his hand."Saki- Mori I cant do this anymore. We're done." He pulled his hand away and left her standing there in a pool of tears. The rain drops began to fall as sobs escaped her throat. "NOOO! I can't do it. Please Tobio I need you. DON'T LEAVE ME!!!" She screamed out.
Her clothes and hair were progressively getting wetter as she stayed there. She sank down to her knees and cried even more. "I can do better. I can change for you." She repeatedly said between sobs. The rain came down harder and faster. Her cries could no longer her heard over the sound of heavy drops of rain pounding into the ground.
She finally stood up after being completely drenched but that wasn't a concern for her. She just needed to go home and cry even more. Her clothes felt heavy but she still trudged on. Though her body was weak and her wet hair covered most of her eyes, she still got home safely.
Her parents jumped up in relief as she opened the door but was still worried because of the state she was in. "What wrong hon-" before her mother could even finish speaking she collapsed into her arms and was again crying. "He broke up with me." She sobbed into her mother's shoulder. "It hurts, everything hurts. MAKE IT STOP PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!!"
Mori quickly sat up in her bed panting. Her heart raced and pounded as she was gasping for air. "Just a dream." She said in relief. Adrenaline pumped through her blood keeping her in a mindset of panic. "It was a dream. No a memory, another shitty memory. I'm ok, I'm in my room. It already happened." She assured herself to make her heart stop beating so hard and fast. "Let me do this school shit before princess wakes up." The girl grabbed her laptop and began doing her online assignments. A few hours into her working progress Kotori walking into the room still tired and lays down going back to sleep.
"Awww my baby. You miss Torū?" She cooed to the little girl as she rubs her back in a circular motion. "Mhm." Kotori answers in her sweet little voice. "I miss him too. Night night baby" Running her hand over her daughter's hair, she tenderly kisses her forehead. The sound of light snores engulfed the room before Mori's phone began to ring. The teen mom quick answered as not to disturb the sleeping girl. "Hello?" She asked the other line. "Hello lovely little cousin. How are you and the princess doing?"
Oikawa's cheery voice rang through the phone. "We're good. We definitely miss you. She slept in your room waiting for you."
"Awwwww. I should be back home in a few days so you guys wouldn't have to miss me for too long."
"I saw Kageyama the other day." A gasp was heard from Oikawa's end of the call. "What happened there? How did that happen?" She tried to find a way to sugar coat it was all the lame excuses she can up with were too dumb. "I went to see their coach and he freaked out. All hell broke loose and he started yelling and accused me of sleeping with Tanaka. It was a mess. The guys wanted me to tell him about Kotori." She could already see her cousin skaking his head and rubbing his temple.
"As expected he acted out. No gain, no lost. He doesn't need to know, he's just a stupid high school kid living his 'best' life. She doesn't need him and you certainly don't need his help. She's fine, no reason to complicate shit. I'm not here to tell you what to do but what do expect from him after you tell him? For him to stand up and take care of his kid or to reject and deny her?"
"I just don't want either of them to think I'm the bad guy and was intentionally keeping them apart. She'll probably hate me, I'd hate me too. Keeping something as important as that can make or break a relationship. I want her to stay mine forever."
"And she will be. Even if she hates you, wants you to die or still love you, she'll always be your daughter. Tell him or not I'll still be by your side just don't get her emotions involved. I'd hate to see her grow attached to him for him to just leave." Mori stared at Kotori trying to think of what she should do.
"I want him to know. It would be my fault if she doesn't know him. She is his daughter too so he has a right to know." She said confidently. "Okay I have to go. Good luck telling him. BYYYYEEE! Call me later when princess is awake." She laughed. "Got it captain, later." She hung up feeling like today was the day.
Then instantly changed her mind. "Some time soon, will be the moment. The moment he knows..." she trailed off as her voice got quiet. "I'll give him some space then just straight up tell him." She didn't know exactly how to break it to him. The girl sat in front of the mirror to practice what she would say.
"Umm hey Kageyama, uhhh y-you have a k-kid with me. NO NO NO! That sounded so stupid. I know I'm late with this one but you have a daughter. We have a daughter and I know you probably don't believe me but it's true. After we broke up I found out I was pregnant. I thought you would just think it was all a game to get you back. Trust me when I say I really don't need you, I want our daughter to feel love from everyone.
I want her to feel appreciated and cared for. She doesn't need you now but maybe in the future she will. Maybe she'll need her father when her mother isn't enough. She deserves the world and so much more so please if you're gonna be there for her, make sure you never and I mean NEVER let her down or make her feel like you don't care. Don't break my princess's heart because the people who love her the most will be coming for your ass. I just wanted to let you know about her existence before anyone else told you."
The words that spill out of her mouth came directly from the heart. It is a heavy topic to take on but she'll be fine in the end. He always reassured her with an "it'll be okay, you'll make it through. And if you feel a little less than fine I'll just have to cheer you up." His smile was indented in her mind. His word stuck to her heart. His love craved into her soul. 'I can never get away from him, he's make his mark on me. A permanent mark.' She thought to herself.
