Chapter 14

Later that day after family time I was finishing homework that I still had to do with my glasses on, a big T-shirt, and sweats when rocks started hitting my window.

Ugh it's probably Scott again I though as I went to go open the window. I opened it and looked down at him asking, "why are you here?"

"I told you I would be back, and now I am back" he replied

"Why don't you just come through the front door?" I asked

"That's no fun, can I come in princess?" He asked

"Only if you come through the front door" I replied and watched as he proceeded to walk to the front door

I put my glasses on my dresser and went downstairs going to open the door to let him in when I heard my mom say from the couch "are you going somewhere hun?"

"No just letting someone in" I replied opening to door to see Scott standing there with a smirk on his face and his hand held out to me

"Come with me?"

"Where?" I asked raising an eyebrow

"To the woods" he replied still smirking. Oh no, he was going to murder me

"Relax I'm not going to murder you, I just want to walk and talk" he said chuckling

"Alriiight, let me ask" I said before shutting the door on his face and turning to my mom

"Can I go for a walk with Scott?" I asked her

"Scott Rivers?" She asked

"Yeah" I replied

"Sure honey, just don't come home too late" she said not looking up from the book she was reading

"Okay bye mom, love you" I said grabbing a sweater

"Love you too"

I opened the door to see Scott pacing back and forth with a intense thinking look on his face

"Calm down Rivers I'm coming" I said stepping outside and closing the door

I saw his body relax as he looked up at me replying, "okay let's go"

He led us to an old truck parked in front of our house and started saying, "now I know it's not much but-"

"It's beautiful!" I said rushing over to look at it

"I love old cars" I told him after I turned around to see a surprised look on his face

"Wow, most girls just complain about their clothes being ruined" he said walking to open the door for me

After about ten minutes he had parked and we were walking into the forest that was near my house.

After just walking in silence and looking around I asked him, "So I think I deserve to know what happened at the party last night after you showed up to my house drunk"

"Oh, yeah, well it was like any other party, drinking dancing, girls" he said shrugging his shoulders

"So nothing interesting happened?" I said glancing at him

"Well I suppose I did almost score last night with that Hailey chick but while kissing her I could only think about another person so I stopped and left, giving the keys to axel, who wasn't drinking that night. Oh and don't worry your friends got home safe, chad was all over Kara before max grabbed her and Jess and left" he told me stopping and sitting on a rock while telling me this

"Good I'm glad their safe, and you rejected and left Hailey? She is not gonna be happy" I said

"I'm not gonna kiss someone while I'm thinking about someone else" he said standing up
