25th Hunger Games -First Quarter Quell-

Chapter 2

      Yay i scream in my head. That means most people in district 1 chose me to go into the hunger games. If your wondering why i said "chose" its because for the first quarter quell everyone eligable to compete can chose the people to go into the hunger games. -says in Catching Fire- I walk up to the stage as i hear someone say "I volunteer" then i shout at whoever shouted "Hey little girl people chose me because im better than you and i can win this thing" I hear people begin to laugh and i do a little smirk. Then i hear Silver call for the boys turn. "Copper Starr" She calls out. I regonize the name immediately. I see him walking up to the stage his blue eyes pirecing into mine his and his brown hair has gel in it. I blush at the sight of him ive always had a crush on him but i dont think he likes back. Silver tells us to shake hands and whenever i feel his hands across mine i feel the sparks. I feel his gentle and smooth hand aganist mine and then i feel like im gonna faint.

      I hear the door open as Bangle walks in with my mother and of course Savera. Bangle pull me into a hug and reminds me to win these games. Then Bangle goes back to Savera and kisses her. My mother hugs me and kisses my cheek. Then last Savera hugs me. She tells me that im going to win because of how strong i am. Peacekeepers reopen the door and tell them its time to go. I say goodbye and then they are gone.

     Im on the captiol train with Copper sitting next to me. Then our mentor comes in and introduces herdelf as Dazzle. She tells us that she will start mentoring us tommorrow and that we should take a nap. Me and Copper walk back to our rooms in silence. "I dont get why she told us to take a nap if we are going to be at the capitol in like twenty minutes" he says, I laugh and then i say "Maybe since shes old she wants us to take a nap so she can take a nap" he cracks up at what i say. When we get to my room Copper says in a deep tone "So when we get to the capitol what do you wanna do" he leans into me and stops at only a few inches away from my face. "I dont know" He then closes the gap in between us and gently puts his lips to mine. For a second im in shock and then my lips going in motion with his and soon we are making out. We break aprat and Copper looks at me and speaks "Ive always had a crush on you every since i came here from district 7 ive liked you." im spechless and some how i gather up my voicce and say "i have too and now we wont be able to be together because of these dumb games" "Its okay we can be together until one of us dies in the areana ok" I yawn and then nod. I walk into my room with him behind. I jump into my bed and Copper comes with me and soon we are curled up and fast asleep.
