Harry watched Voldemort from behind a tree. He looked to his side to see Blaise and Ron keeping watch. The time was now. He checked his watch on his hand, there were four minutes till seven.

Harry wondered what it would be like when the war was over. His whole life in the magical world had been revolved around stopping Voldemort. He had never thought after that before. But for the first time he could.

He would get undoubtedly get a job, perhaps as an Auror or something similar. He doubted he could just let go of the hunting for trouble thing permanently. Maybe even marry Ginny. Definitely marry Ginny.

Harry thought to Draco Malfoy. He had done a lot of shitty things. But he didn't deserve to die that night. Especially after all he had done for them. But he had done so much for Hermione as well. He wondered how she would do with his death. Harry knew she wouldn't do well, but he wondered how badly she'd take it.

Harry checked his watch. Any moment now. Blaise and Ron were still where Harry had left them, a good sign. That meant there were no threats in the immediate area. He wondered what Voldemort was doing out in the woods anyway. He was just standing, waiting. Harry had a feeling he knew he was coming.

One more check on the watch, it read '6:58'. It was time. He looked to Ron and Blaise and nodded. Harry stepped out from behind the tree and walked towards the snake-like man, his wand aimed right at him.

"You stupid boy." His voice hissed out. "You are pathetic."

"How so?" Harry asked, he knew it was all mind games.

"Don't you think I've made plans for this?" Voldemort turned to face Harry, "you can destroy Horcrux after Horcrux..." He sneered.

Harry knew where this was going.

"But you'd never kill your friend. You'd never kill someone working on your side."  Voldemort was so confident. Harry just had to hide it for a little longer. It was nice to have the upper hand. Very nice. Though it was a shame it had to come at the cost of Malfoy.

Harry's watch beeped and he knew it was seven on the dot. It was down to seconds now. "I wouldn't go that far." Harry looked at his opponent. "I'd say he's more of a friend of a friend."

Voldemort's face showed confusion for only a split second and then he was on his knees, collapsing from the pain of another destroyed Horcrux. Good job, Hermione. She always amazed him with how strong she was.

Voldemort cried out in pain and Harry took the advantage. He fired a spell and the snake-like man blocked it with another spell. Harry shot another, catching his shoulder and sending him to the ground.

Voldemort shot a spell that Harry narrowly blocked. He wasn't down for the count yet. In the distance, Harry could hear Death Eaters arriving, but from what he could tell, Ron and Blaise had it under control.

Harry shot another spell, but he blocked it and stood. Harry muttered the curse, "expelliarmus." He whispered and a red jet of light was sent towards Voldemort, as he shot the deadly unforgivable at him.

Their spells locked, just as they did nearly three months ago in the battle of Hogwarts. He should have finished it all then. More people didn't have to die. This was for them. Harry pushed his spell further, thinking of everyone he had lost. The sacrifices people had made for him. For the cause. To stop the war.

With one final push, Harry's red overpowered Voldemort's killing curse and jetted into him. Voldemort collapsed to his knees, his skin cracked into ashes and with a final scream in pain, he disintegrated into nothingness.

Expelliarmus shouldn't have been enough to kill him, but because of that wand... The Elder Wand, it did the trick. The Elder Wand did not belong to Voldemort, it belonged to Harry and rebounded his death curse right back onto him. It was over. This war was finished.

He was finally dead.

Harry looked towards the commotion of fighting and he grabbed the Elder wand. Shrinking it down, he put it in his pocket and ran towards the fight. But Harry turned back, looking to the pile of black ashes scattered across the ground.

Good riddance.

Blaise was firing spells left and right and honestly, it looked like it was helping him get that anger out. Tears streamed down his face as he took down opponent after opponent. Ron too was doing fine holding his own. Harry joined them and helped fight off the dozens of Death Eaters that kept apparating into the fight.

Soon there would be too many and they would have to bail.

But then there was a rush of wind and Harry looked to see more people apparating in. But these, these were his people. Tonks, then Mrs. Weasely, then Shacklebolt, Ginny, then the Lovegoods, Neville, Fred, and George, the rest of the Weasely clan, McGonagall, Lupin and the list goes on. The Order kept streaming in.

"Capture any we can!" Shacklebolt exclaimed. Harry knew this was it. After this, the war would be over. They would get to start that new life he had only imagined. Ginny took a stand at his side and he shot her a smile before he continued firing spells.

He only wished Hermione and Malfoy were there to see it.
