weeks later

Today is the last day of practice before the season opener tomorrow and I'm so nervous. We really need to get it together.

"Ok y'all it's the last day of practice so we decided to get some help" coach said as she pointed towards the gym entrance. Through the doors and my dad bronny's dad and zaire's dad. Some players gasped at the sight but we were used to it. "This is bronny Zaire and Jay's dad all NBA legends."

Throughout half of the practice all of our dads had the most frustrated faces imaginable. Only a handful of us were getting the things they were teaching. Ngl we aint looking too good. Me and Alana are going to have to step up to carry this team.

The next day

I couldn't sleep all night I was too nervous about this game today. I got dressed in my team warmups and went to school.

Bronny was about to start his game in about 5 minutes so I quickly found a spot next to my dad. " how do you think they're going to do?" I asked day dad. "They got a whole team of killas it's your team in worried about." He said "on God there's only 5 good people on the team we gonna have to play the whole game" I said already getting stressed. "Do what you gotta do" he said shrugging his shoulders.

The boys won their game and Bronny ended up with 50 points. We had 10 minutes until we were called to start warming up. I was walking to the lockeroom when I felt myself being pulled into the athletic trainers room. Ofc it was bronny. I hugged him "you did great baby" I tell him. "Thank you gotta match my points tho" I playfully saluted him making us both chuckle.

"Wanna give me a good luck kiss?" I asked as they called us to warmups. He pulled my chin and kissed me deeply, letting go I jogged to the door I felt a hard smack to my butt. I flipped him off and went in the gym. During th warm up I made all of my shots.
Both teams go to the bench"here is our of at 5'7 jayyy Davis " the crowd erupted.

We all got in our positions for the jump ball, I got the ball and went to the 3 point line splashing it in my defenders face. I noticed her from a video I saw A couple of days ago talking about how she was gonna destroy us. A couple of possessions later this same girl was guarding me, I went up if the layup and she grabbed both of my shoulders pushing me down. I quickly got up and shoved her down. "I'm coming for your #1 spot bitch." Wtf she wasn't even ranked in the top 100 how she gone take my spot. "Whatever sis"  I said laughing in her face.

Alana passed me the ball I faked left then stepped back right making the 3. The crowd went crazy cuz I just broke her ankles.

We ended up winning the game and I matched bronny's 50 points. We decided to go to a party for NBA kids. There were 10 of us at a park. I was the only girl except for natalia bryant. She was cool despite being a year younger than us. "Aye how did y'all both get 50?" Shaquir asked, we both just shrugged. I had talked to shaquir before I just never met him, overall he was pretty cool.

30 minutes later we all went our separate ways and I rode with bronny to go get food. At buffalo wild wings we sat in a booth were nobody could see us. "I'm proud of you baby"  I said holding his face. "Thanks" he uttered. After ordering we kinda just sat in silence. I looked up at bronny to we him already staring at me. "Whaatt" I covered my face with my hands.

I pulled her hands off her face. " I swear you get more beautiful everyday" I said truly admiring her beauty. I started leaving kisses all of her face. "Stop I gotta go to the restroom." She said getting up to leave.

"Omg"  I recognize that squeal. I turned my head and Bri was fast walking towards me. "Heyy" she said pushing me into the booth with her hip. She put her hand on my knee and started rubbing it. Jay came back from the bathroom and sat down eyeing us. "Oh I didn't realize y'all were here together" she said in a low voice." So are y'all like dating?" " yes Bri dang"  I was kinda getting frustrated with all these questions.

I decided to text z since it was his girl.

After that text I was really over her being here. "Omg bro what the heck" I said coming up with a plan "what" both jay and bro at the saned time. "Our dad's are pissed at us they say we need to get home now." I said winking at jay without bri noticing. She faked checked her phone" oh damn they always tripping we need to go" we got up and rushed out the door. I peaked my head back in yelling "enjoy the food"  I ran to the car unlocking it.

We both busted out laughing as soon as we get in. "Bro I was hoping you would get out of the bathroom and save me." I told her. "And she was acting like I ain't peep her hand on your knee." She said with attitude. "Yeah she got any closer to me she woulda got backhanded no cap" I said. We drove home and went our separate ways.
