Chapter 4: Summoning a General

With most of the army swiftly created, Jin sets his sights on creating generals. With that goal in mind, he begins to channel more mana into the scythe planted into the ground. "Since they will be the generals of my army, perhaps I should give them proper power." So he thinks to himself, as he pours in roughly thirty times the amount of mana it took to form the entire army that is under his control!

"Now rise from the ashes and bring forth destruction in your wake; appear before me now!" Jin chants as the scythe glows a bright red as it begins to shake at the tremendous power surging through it. "Tch, it looks like I'll only be able to summon one general at a time. If I try to summon two or more, then the scythe might not be able to bear it." He says to himself; unbeknownst to him, there was an earthquake, and then another. He tries to look for the source but then decides to focus on the task at hand. Suddenly, after three consecutive earthquakes, he finally realizes that they are not typical 'earthquakes,' as they are actually coming from underground and getting closer as if climbing the stairs. Once the earthquakes stopped, Jin thought that it might have just been his imagination. Still, to his surprise, a ginormous hellish demon jumped out from underneath the ground and onto the plains, burning everything that was within a one-hundred-meter distance.

"Who has summoned me?" The ginormous demon demands an answer to his question.

"Yo, hotshot! Down here!" Jin calls out, unafraid of this hellish demon no matter what its size or level of power.

"You summoned me? A human? Ha! What a waste. Here I thought that an all-powerful entity was finally going to let me run wild on this forsaken world once again. Begone, you filthy mortal! Or I will kill you where you stand!" The demon shouts this to Jin, all while every word he spoke caused his army to tremble in fear.

"Heh...human, you say? Yeah, right! I cannot be considered one of those weak and pitiful creatures. No, I am the Demon Lord Jin Haruma! And if you think you can kill me, you're sadly mistaken. But, by all means, give it a go and see what happens. You'll be headfirst on the ground in less than 5 seconds." Jin says while holding up the five fingers on his right hand.

"You insolent bastard, prepare for your demise!" The demon exclaims.

"heh, this is just what I needed. A little rebellion from the get-go so that I can show these creatures who's really in charge. All while being able to test out my newly manifested general's power, it's a win-win." So jin thought as he lowered all but his pointing finger, wiggling it up and down, signaling for the demon to attack at any time.

The demon rushes at Jin, his four muscular flamed legs moving at a quickening pace, as he brings out his two-headed ax from his back. He slams the ax downwards towards Jin, thinking that he scored a direct hit. "Heh, pathetic! You talk a lot of shit for someone so weak. So pitiful, and here I thought I'd be able to let loose for a while," The demon says as smoke covered the entire plains around them.

"Pathetic, huh? YOU sure talk a lot of shit for someone who couldn't injure me with your first strike. Pitiful." Jin retorts, and as the smoke cleared, it could be seen that Jin had stopped the ax with only his bare hand.

"Impossible! You're not human. What are you?" The demon yet again demanding an answer to his question.

"Didn't I already tell you, you shitty overgrown demon? I am the Demon Lord!" Jin states as he pushes the ax away with sheer force. "Now it's my turn to attack." He says as he jumps into the air and flips, spinning his body around again; one of his legs extended and smashing into the skull of the enormous demon, sending his body diving headfirst into the ground. "See? Five seconds; what'd I tell you? Now, get up. We're not through yet. I want to see what power you're deliberately hiding, you shitty overgrown demon. Show it to me, and if you impress me, I'll reward you with a name, some kibbles, and a collar. Doesn't that sound nice?" Jin says, clapping his hands and signaling for the demon to get up and come to attack him again.
