"For your insolence, I will devour your soul and add your power to my core."

I've always wanted to say this at least once, and now I have gotten that chance. Why, you ask? Simple: I, Jin Haruma, live in a fantasy world where my power is the law. I played an online MMORPG called "The worldly kingdom of Melee and magic," where I had already become the most influential player in the game after just 3 years of playing it. After that, my power kept increasing, immensely at that. It's been 7 whole years since then, and today marks the first day of a new decade of gaming! Or so I thought..., and this was the result. Once I fell asleep, I ended up here. Odd, isn't it? Well, nothing that I can really do about it now.

Back to the present:

Jin opened his eyes and began looking around the deserted plains for any traces of life. "What a desolate place. I don't sense any life near here, so, where am I?" He ponders over the thought that something isn't adding up while scratching his head. "Huh? This is..."

He looks at the hand that he was using to scratch his head just moments ago and noticed a strong aura emanating from the palm of his hand. "Could this be...my original body? Jin stumbled for words as he began inspecting his body for any abnormalities. Jin Haruma had spiky black hair formed in different areas directed towards the upper back of his head, with horns deeply rooted to both sides of his skull. He wore a black cape with purple lining that had a pretty simple appearance, other than the fact that it was a magical item that held magic power of its own. In addition, he wore elastic pants that were shining jet black and black dress shoes that could be seen worn at banquets or a marriage ceremony.

"Interesting. Very interesting! This is my original body and the outfit that I occasionally wear when going on an outing. However, the question remains...where am I?"

Once again, he begins searching the plains, but this time finds that he is not alone.

"Oh? It seems I have a guest." he casually thinks to himself with an eerie calmness.

Around 20 kilometers in the distance, Jin could see a demon flying in his direction.

"Well, I can't be an unwelcoming host to this dance of death, now can I?" Jin says with an evil grin staining his face as he begins floating above the ground and then taking off into the air at an extremely high speed.

He sees the demon coming clearer into view and halts his movements, waiting for him, like a snake waiting to devour a caged mouse.

"You...what are you?" The demon asked, appearing before Jin and demanding answers right from the start.

He was a four-meter-tall tan furred demon with bulging muscles.

"Well, shouldn't you at least introduce yourself to someone you've just met? I feel like you have no brains, and all that you've got going for you are those bulky muscles that you seem so proud of." Jin jokingly retorts, which fueled the demon's anger more than he thought it would.

"I am Rebuk! A proud demon whose power is unrivaled in these lands, and next in line to become the right hand of the Demon Lord!" Rebuk proudly states his position on the food chain while expecting to see the fear etched into the face of the one standing before him.

"Oh, you don't say." Jin's piercing eyes staring intently at Rebuk.

"So now you know. Now answer me, foolish creature, who dares to oppose me; what is your name?"

Jin, having been annoyed yet intrigued by something the demon said, raises his right hand.

"You don't need to know my name, just think of me as your new Demon Lord, and my first order is for your death!" Jin says curtly as he snaps his fingers and magic circles appear in the space surrounding him.

"Arise, king of the wind, and run my enemy through; Wind-awakened tornado bullets!"

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a powerful gust of wind appeared in front of the magic circles, and in the next moment, bullets made from wind began piercing Rebuk's body wildly, leaving holes in every area that was hit. It was as if a magic machine gun appeared out of thin air (Get it?) and is now tearing this demon apart.

"Guh!"

As he voiced his pained groans, Jin teleports over in front of him, picks him up by his left horn, and uttered the words that struck fear into his immobile body:

"So, you worship an imposter who calls themselves a Demon Lord, is that it?"

Jin gives Rebuk an icy cold stare.

"P-please...don't kill me. I-I'll pledge my loyalty to you! Yes! You will be the only Demon Lord I follow, so ple-"

Jin punches a hole through Rebuk's stomach, shutting him up in the process. "You talk too much."

He said, leaning in close to Rebuk's face, showing the demon an evil glare that could be felt in every inch of one's being:

"For your insolence, I will devour your soul and add your power to my core."

Jin raised his right hand and placed it in the air directly in front of Rebuk's heart. Suddenly, a circular red orb appeared from Rebuk's motionless corpse and floated to his right hand.

Jin dropped Rebuk's soulless body and began eating the red orb that was in his hand. Once finished, his body began glowing with a deep shade of red aura, and his power increased slightly.

"So... there's someone foolish enough to oppose me, eh?" Jin opens his inventory using spatial magic and takes out a black trench coat ornate with red and silver spikes on the shoulders. He then took out a pair of black leather pants that had silver chains along the sides of the pants, starting from the pockets and ending halfway down the leg. "Well, I suppose it's time for me to regain my throne in this new world, but where to start?" he said to himself as he lands and begins walking toward the beginning of his new adventure.
