There are few rules of etiquette when it comes to posting a comments on a story other than be respectful, no bashing, and NO SOLICITING.
It just seems wrong to ask for people to read your work in the comment section of another author's story without offering any type of vote or comment yourself. Even more so if you didn't ask the author's permission first. Also, it is positively criminal and you deserve to be tarred and feathered if the story violates any of the aforementioned crimes in this book!
The other thing that's been happening to me lately is I get links dropped in my inbox to other stories. I don't mind recommendations but at least say "Hi" and explain why I should read this story. If most of my stories are lgbtq or bdsm in nature DO NOT send me some hetero vanilla romance nonsense or romantic comedy.
Anyone else have this happen? What did you do?
