/next day; harry's pov/

"So you're taking her out on the boat?" Niall asks me.
"Yea, you taking Nic?" I ask.
"Mhm." He smiles, his cheeks turning a bright shade of pink.
"I can't wait to meet her, what's she like?"
"Well, she's really fucking gorgeous, prissy, but cute. She's got an attitude which I like, at some points." I laugh.
"She said to me that she told her dad we were just friends and nothing's going to happen, bullshit." I rant.
"She only told him that because it's her dad, he wouldn't let her have you over if he knew you guys were up to no good." He explains.
"True, and here I was, pissed because she said that." I roll my eyes at myself.
"Well at least you're taking her on the boat." He reassures.
"Yea, I hope she likes it."

...

/ariana's pov/

"Harry spoke to me today." I tell Steph through the speaker.
"What did he say?" She asks.
"He said sorry, he sounded weird though, like something's up."
"That's strange. Maybe he's doing something for you." She gushes.
"I would hope so, but knowing him, probably not." I hold my phone between my neck and chin, sliding on my yoga pants.
"You never know." She says.
"Well I gotta go. Good luck" She says, and with a click, she hangs up.

I set my phone down, putting on my shirt and pull on my socks.

I'm really curious why he's acting so strange today.

Maybe Steph is right, maybe he is taking me somewhere, or saying he never wants to talk again.

I hope he gets me something because we've really grown from the day we went to dinner. I'm becoming fond of him.

/harry's pov/

"Is everything ready?" I ask Niall.
"Yep, it's all here." He points to the food, champagne and flowers.
"Thanks so much for helping me with this idea. I owe her." I laugh at the realization of my words.
"Yea, I haven't really done anything for Nicole, so this pays us both." He chuckles.

I pull out my phone to see its 4:03. Perfect.

I dial Ari's number. It rings a couple of times, then she picks up.

"Hello?"
"Hey, I'll be at your house in 45 minutes, be ready and bring a bathing suit if you want." I tease and hang up.

I hope this makes her happy.

...

I pull up to the front of her house, honking the horn. Good thing Niall lent me his car to pick her up.

She walks out the front door in a lavender sweater and black yoga pants with her hair down, and her bangs pinned back.

Beautiful;
as always.

"Hey, where are we going?" She asks, getting into the car.
"You'll see." I smile and start driving.

...

About 45-55 minutes later, we reach the area. I took her somewhere near by that's warm so we can actually go on the boat.

"Why are we in Springford?" She asks, confusion taking over her.
"You'll see." I stop the car, getting out and opening her side.

She gets out as I wrap my hands around her eyes, leading her down the hill and to the boat.

When we reach Niall and Nicole at the boat, I release my hands.

"Oh my gosh! Niall?" She runs towards him.
"What are you doing here?" She asks, hugging him.
"Harry and I set up this date." He laughs.
"Oh my gosh!"
"Hey, ready?" I ask, putting my arm around her waist.
"Yea." She smiles as we all walk down to the dock, getting on the boat.

...

After we ate and drank champagne, we all sat and talk.

"So, thanks for taking me Harry." She smiles, pecking my nose.
"Thank Niall too." I look at him.
"Thanks guys."
"Wait, so how do you know each other?" I ask.
"We've been friends for a long time." Ari explains.
"What about you guys?" She asks.
"We're actually in a little band together, not popular really, we just play for fun." Niall shrugs his shoulders.
"That's so cool, what's it called?" She asks, curiosity taking over.
"One Direction." Niall answers.
"That's cute." She giggles, making my cheeks go red.

I don't want her to know I'm in a band. Then she'll make me sing for her and that's one thing I am not doing.

About an hour later, it starts to get dark and chilly.

Ari and I snuggle on one side of the boat while Nicole and Niall snuggle on the other.

"So how did you guys meet?" Ari asks Nicole and Niall.
"Well, the band was at a bar for a gig and I ran into her, got her number and boom. Mine." He smiles, nuzzling is chin into her shoulder.
"What about you guys?" Nicole asks.
"Well, she actually ran into my car, we hated each other, but I got to know her better, still hated her, and somehow we're here." I explain.
"Wow thanks." She hits my arm.
"But I've learned to love her." I smile as she kisses my cheek.
"I've learned to love you too. It's hard but it's worth it."

I sure hope to god it is.
I sure do.
