*ring ring ring ring*

Harry. Nope.

I check my phone to see I have a new voicemail.

I unlock it and listen:

"Hey...sorry about being such an asshole to you. I do appreciate all the stupid shit you've done for me. Really..I-I do. Anyways, call me when you're done being complicated."

Click. He has been rude since I've invited him over. Nope, I don't care about him. I delete the message and put my phone in my purse.

"Hey mom!" I yell to her.
"What?"
"I'm going to lunch with Steph!"
"Ok bye, love you honey!" She yells from the office.

I grab my coat and walk out, feeling the cold winter air.

I get in my car, starting it, and heading over to Steph's to go to lunch, like we planned.

"Hey." She runs to the car after I get there.
"Hey." I smile.
"You alright?" She asks with a worried expression.
"Yea, I mean I'm fine. Better really." I back out of her driveway and onto the street.
"Are you sure? Does it have to do with Harry?"
"Yea." I sigh.
"Of course. What happened?"
"He was in the hospital, took a drink from a random guy, of course, it has ecstasy in it, ended up in the hospital. I be nice and go visit him, and he's an asshole to me!" I let out my frustrations.
"He is, but is he ok?" She asks.
"Yea, he's fine. I stormed out of there. I said I was never talking to him again and he's left me so many voicemails." I explain.
"Really? He actually took time out of his day to do that? That's a step." She laughs.
"Yea, I think I made him nicer. Not that much though." I sigh, parking in an Applebee's.

We get out, locking the doors, and walking inside.

When we enter the warm building, I spot someone familiar.

"Niall?" I ask the blonde haired guy standing at the front desk.
"Ari?" He squints.
"Oh my gosh!" I squeal, hugging him tightly.
"Who's this?" Steph asks.
"This is Niall, I grew up with him." I smile, hugging him again.
"Hi, I'm Steph." She greets him.
"So where do you wanna sit?"
"Booth is fine." I smile again, overly happy.
"How are you?" He asks as soon as we're seated.
"Good I guess, boy troubles, what about you?" I laugh.
"Fine, working here for the past few months." He says in his cute Irish accent, I feel only I can understand.
"Well I'll get you some free cokes, be right back." He smiles and rushes off.
"I love him so much!" I gush.

I'm so glad I ran into him. I could always tell him my problems and he'd listen. I feel like he's better for Steph and I to hang out with than Harry.

For sure.

/harry's pov/

I press the red button, calling the nurse in, she never comes in when I press it.

I repeatedly press that fucking damn red button and finally she rushes in.

"Hi, I'm so sorry, what do you need?" She smiles.
"To get the hell out of here." I clench my jaw.
"That's not going to be for another day." She says.
"Why can't I leave now, I'm fine." I growl.
"Doctors order, I'd like to leave too but the world works it's ways." She shrugs her shoulders, walking out, making me laugh a little.

I like that nurse. Only if Ari was like that, could take my dry sense of humor. God damn;
Ari.

I grab my phone from across the table, no messages or calls.

I find her contact and call her once more.

"Hello?" She yells, I can hear loud talking in the background.
"Ari, I need to talk to you, please don't hang up." I plead.
"What?" She sighs.
"I'm sorry, ok there I said it. I know I've been a big asshole to you, not saying I'm not gunna make jokes here and there, but I like listening to your heels click a million thousand times, I like hearing your gum snap, your stupid jokes, your laugh. I need to be with you. You've helped me find myself. I know I don't express that well, and I'm still an asshole, but give me about a week or two and I'll warm up to you. Promise." I breath.
"Harry, I'm in Applebee's, can I call you back? I really appreciate that, I do. Thanks." She sounds like she doesn't even care.

The call ends.

You know what, if she doesn't care, I'm fucking done.

"Fuck!" I yell.

I rip the iv out of my forearm, throwing it on the ground, grasping my arm because of the pain.

I pull myself out of the bed and storm through the doors.

"I'm out!" I yell at the nurse, throwing my hospital bracelet on the table.

As soon as I get outside, a warm hand grabs my arm.

"Not so fast." The doctor pulls me inside.
"You're not healthy enough. Get back in and lay down." He sternly says.
"Listen, I have a girl to go after, and if I don't, she'll fucking hate me forever. I'm a big asshole, I know, but that's one thing I'm trying to fix, for Ari's sake, and my mums." He lets go as I walk away, heading towards Applebee's.

Fuck if this doesn't work.
