"Answer god dammit!" I yell, hitting end as it goes to voicemail.

I've called her a million times.

That's it, I'm calling her one last time, or I'll just call Steph because I'm sure she's with her.

The phone rings three times as I hear Steph's voice.

"Hello?"
"Hi, is Ari around?" I ask.
"I don't know, why?" She asks, mystery in her voice.
"Don't make me get pissed, let me talk to her."
"Ok, ok, here she is." She says.

I hear rustling through the phone and a couple "no Steph." 's.

"...hello?" She lets out a sigh.
"Hey, I'm sorry." Is all I can manage to say.
"That doesn't cut it. I don't even want to talk to you."
"I know you don't." I look down at my boots.
"Why are you calling me then?"
"I want to say sorry. I'm sorry for the whole scene yesterday. I work with her, she has a boyfriend, well a fiancé actually." I explain, walking past stores.
"Really?" She asks in a naïve little girl voice.
"Yes, really. Would I lie to you?" I hold back from letting my feelings show through.
"Probably." She says with no care.
"Probably? Yea because I would lie to you. Ok, it all makes sense now!" My voice level increases.
"No, Harry! I don't know, I would assume you have before. I don't know!" She all yells at once, way too quickly.
"Well I haven't!" I yell back, gaining weird looks from people walking by.
"It sure did seem like it yesterday!"
"I told you I work with her! Do I have to explain it again?" I'm practically screaming at this moment.
"Goodbye Harry." She says.

And with that;
she hangs up.

Fucking great.

I'm such a piece of shit. No, she is for even thinking I'd lie to her.

Ok, maybe that is me. I mean once or twice I have, but that's before we were even friends.

Friends, aha, I wish I was that to her right now. She fucking hates my guts and me screaming at her doesn't solve that problem.

Maybe I should just go back to Mallard's.

I've made my decision;
Mallard's it is.

...

I walk into my room to see Ms.Woldren sitting on my bed.

"Harry?" She looks up at me.
"Hi..." I trail off.
"What are you doing here?"
"I can ask the same question." I sit down next to her on the bed.
"Where were you?" She asks.
"Out."
"No kidding." She chuckles.
"Ok, I was downtown, near Corington." I look down.
"That's a bad place Harry." She puts her hand on my shoulder.
"You think I don't know that?"
"Why did you come back?" She removed her hand.
"I have nobody to stay with anymore, so the last place to go was here." I clench my jaw.
"What do you mean by anymore?"
"I got in a fight with my friend, well old friend, and she isn't talking to me." I say.
"She?" She raises her eyebrows.
"Yea.." I chuckle.
"What happened?" She asks.
"I went to a bar with my co-worker, who has a fiancé, and she was there and said I kissed the girl I work with." I look down.
"Did you?"
"Well, I kissed her cheek, but that was just a friendly gesture." I explain.
"Have you told her that?"
"Yes, a million times but she hates me." I feel my eyes start to water.
"No she doesn't sweetie. She's angry, you need to call her and explain what happened and she'll forgive you in the end." She smiles, rubbing my back.
"I can't. She won't answer. She hates me." I grit my teeth.
"Make her not hate you." She states.
"How? I'm the biggest asshole in the world!" I get up.
"No you aren't. Just be super nice to her, explain everything that happened and let her warm up to you. Give her time." She calmly explains.
"You sure?"
"I'm sure. Girls throw hissy fits then, if you give them time, they'll be fine."
"I guess I can try and call her, but she won't answer." I roll my eyes.

I clench my jaw and walk out.

As I reach the staircase, my phone rings.

I pull it out of my pocket to see the caller ID says Ari's name.

I quickly fumble to answer it as I finally do.

"Hello?" I answer.
"Harry. Hi."
