Doors are closing now— Doors are closing now—
Arthit walked away from the yellow zone as he exited the train and yawned. Fixing his tie which was crooked from the push and shove in the sardine-packed coach, he heaved a sigh. He really hated the morning rush. He's definitely not a morning person and the fact that he needed to attend class at 8 AM in the morning wasn't making him the happiest guy in Thailand.
Strolling lethargically towards the station exit, he blew out a mouthful of air when he felt the vibration in his pants. Fishing out his phone, he clicked his tongue when he saw the caller ID on the screen: Kongpob Suthiluck.
Should he or should he not answer the call?
He wasn't in the best of mood this morning and he definitely wasn't up to one of Kongpob's early morning tease. But, he wasn't brought up by his parents to be a rude person as well.
"Morning," mumbled Arthit into the phone, stifling another yawn.
"P'Arthit, morning." Kongpob's voice sounded bright and the senior resisted the urge to roll his eyes. "You sound sleepy."
"That's because I am."
Arthit could hear Kongpob laughing quietly over the phone. "Where are you?"
"Kasetsart Station."
"Ah, that's good." Kongpob sounded satisfied, as if pleased with himself. "I'm by the convenience store right in front of the stairs. See you in a bit."
"Huh?" Before Arthit could respond, the junior had already hung up. His sleepy brain couldn't comprehend what Kongpob had said. What did he mean by that? Shrugging to himself, Arthit ignored the phone call and went on his way.
He climbed the stairs unwillingly since the escalator was out of service and almost stumbled on the last step when he saw Kongpob standing in front of the convenience store — just like he said — waiting for him.
Oh. So that was what the junior meant.
Kongpob was standing there, leaning against the wall looking cool as a cucumber in his uniform and tousled hair, as if he just came out of a fashion magazine. Arthit didn't get how could somebody look so good so early in the morning. But, he wasn't alone though. There were a few girls around him, chattering excitedly about something and giggling whenever the junior replied to them.
