It was Friday morning when Arthit scanned his pass card on the subway console and tried the stifle a yawn. Damn early morning classes. Feeling grumpy, he shoved his hands into his pants and yawned again when he heard someone calling his name from behind.
"P'Arthit!" It was Kongpob, standing at one side of the station with a smile on his face. Arthit loved that smile but he wasn't smiling back. There was a group of girls around Kongpob, as usual. A lot of pretty girls.
The junior strode towards him with the girls in tow and grinned, eyes crinkling. Why the hell were there so many girls every morning? Arthit's thoughts darkened a little before he plastered on a small smile.
"Oh... morning, Kongpob." Arthit decided that he shouldn't be affected by them. The girls greeted him with bright smiles and he noticed they were different from the ones yesterday, or the morning before that.
"Good morning." The grin never left Kongpob's face. Why was he being so handsome so early in the morning for? Arthit scowled internally, stealing another glance. He wasn't sure why Kongpob was acting so... weird. The junior was acting kind of weird last night, too.
After sending him home, Kongpob had rung him right after Arthit was done with his shower and he had run out of the bathroom to answer the call. After complaining into the phone that he was clad only in his towel and was still naked, the junior had suddenly become awfully quiet and then, abruptly ended the call, citing that he needed to do something important that he forgot.
It seemed like Kongpob was hiding something from him. Well, at least that was the impression Arthit got from the junior's strange actions. If he'd want to reason why Kongpob was acting so weird, only one person's name came to his mind.
P'Oon.
Arthit licked his lips before biting them. That name didn't sit well with him. He wanted to ask Kongpob about her so badly but who was he to ask? He was only a temporary boyfriend. As much as he liked Kongpob, and he was pretty sure the junior did kind of like him back, they were going to split this Sunday anyway. And then, they'd probably go back to being acquaintances.
From what he had gathered so far, based on their bits and pieces of conversations, Arthit knew that P'Oon used to date Kongpob. She was older than him, and she probably had a boyfriend whom she had cheated on recently, which reminded Arthit of Kongpob's outburst yesterday. The junior had looked really frustrated and agitated during the phone call. He was always so calm and collected, knowing exactly what he wanted, so P'Oon must've been a real big deal to have that kind of effect over him.
