Wings of Fire: Meet the Guardians of War (Book 1 of The Power Prophecy)

Prologue

A few years ago...

"Do you still remember the time I always hunted for you because you were lazy?"

"I wasn't lazy you dumb idiot. I had a hard time dealing with my headache!" Shouted by the female Firewing named Flamereader.

"Well, you could've at least told me. Instead you just mumbled stuff."
Combustion the male Firewing fired back.

"Well I guess you're right. I might be too dramatic with all these headaches but hey at least I never left your side."

"Still can't believe about us having dragonets. I wonder if one of them will become like the Guardians just like what my father had been."

"I'm sure that one of them will become like one. Just believe in yourself Combustion."

They were at their cave, in the South-West of the island. Their cave was near the crashing waves in the ocean. They decided to be here to rest from all those problems in the Fire Kingdom so they rested with their soon-to-be born dragonets in their cave. Combustion and Flamereader were both excited to see their two dragonets.

Suddenly, five mysterious dragons appeared outside of their cave. They were slowly walking to them. They looked strong and tough to deal with but that didn't scare Flamereader and Combustion.

"Ahem ahem. It seems like theres not much dragons here. Such a shame if we invade this continent and make it ours." The strange female dragon said while eyeing the two couples.

Wait. These dragons don't look like they belong here right? Or is this just a hidden tribe in Aroax. Nah I don't think so. Combustion thought.

But before the five mysterious dragons were about to attack them, Flamereader and Combustion swatted them with their tails. They clawed them and bit them on their necks. But Combustion was clawed in the face as he was trying to protect their two eggs. Soon, blood from his face dripped onto the two eggs. The eggs were covered in blood. In rage, he breathe fire onto his opponent and it killed the dragon. The four remaining mysterious dragons fled as their friend died. As soon as they left, Flamereader noticed Combustion bleeding.

"Are you okay Combustion? Want me to ask help from the Lightwings?" Flamereader panicked.

"Nah I'm good. It's just a little scratch on the face. Besides we made them flee and our eggs are safe."

"Yeah I guess. But this is the first time I ever saw that type of dragon. They didn't look like they lived here."

"Yeah. Probably they're from another continent. But who knows. One day for sure, they will come back again and make me pay for killing their fellow dragon. I don't reallt care actually." Combustion said as he made a serious face.

"Combustion maybe you need some rest. You are probably tired from all the fighting we did. Besides we can tell this to Queen Heat about what happened to us so that all of the Aroaxian dragons are aware."

Then, one of the two eggs that were covered in blood cracked, And to their surprise it was a female dragonet who hatched first. She was so small. The little dragonet had a red-orange coloring on her body just like her mother. And of course a white underbelly. She had small curvy horns that are pointed forward that was still developing.

"Awwwww. She's so cute. Let's name her Bloodshed." Flamereader thought.

"Well the name doesn't fit our tribe though but if that's where you're going for then I'm up for it."

Then after a few minutes, the last egg hatched. And the two adult dragons were shocked. It was a male dragonet. The dragonet had a pure red coloring, just like its father and of course had developing horns. The little dragonet was clueless about what was happening.
