"peek-a-book" ricky cooed popping his head from the small blanket causing the little baby beneath him to giggle. you watched in awe at your boyfriend and little nephew.

"oh my goodness he's so cute y/n when can we have one?" ricky asks turning to you. you laugh shaking you head at his comment.

he gently picks up the baby joining you on the couch. "i'm serious. look at this guy!"

"yes i see ricky. he's adorable i know." your voice changed instinctively to a baby voice, earning a little smile.

"you can't tell me you don't have baby fever right now." you looked up to meet ricky's eyes before pressing a soft kiss to his lips.

"soon babe." you responded smiling before returning to watching your nephew.

you were quite tired from babysitting all day, so laying in bed with ricky felt absolutely amazing. as soon as your head hit the pillow you were ready to knock out. suddenly a pair of lips start gently kissing your cheek. you giggle but they continue to your jaw and neck, making you close your eyes in pleasure.

"ricky-" you start as he lightly sucks on your sweet spot. "what are you doing?"

"i want a baby." he responded, you widened your eyes pulling him up to meet your face.

"are you serious?" you half laugh. he looked at you dead in the eye before responding, "yes."

"we can't have a baby right now though. you know that."

"yes we can." he insisted, kissing you passionately. "i can get another job and provide for us and-" you cut him off by kissing him again.

"we will. just not right now."

"but you said soon earlier today. it's soon now!" he whined. you rubbed your fingers across his face. thinking about it in more depth, having a baby wouldn't be the worst thing. you were serious with ricky but were just scared. being a mom was a big commitment.

"how bout this." ricky immediately tuned in, excited for your idea. "we don't necessarily try for a baby, but if it happens, it happens." you propose. he nods a sudden smirk appearing on his face.

"what?" you questioned his smug look.

"guess we're gonna test our luck tonight." he whispers before joining your lips in a heated kiss.
