𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐭 an annoyed whine. she was slumped over the Quinn's kitchen table with her head in her hands. The loud music coming from outside really wasn't helping her ever growing headache. The orange order had decided that they would practise all of last night and start again in the early hours of the morning.
even though they had played the same songs for century's.Erin seemed to be on edge as well, jumping at the same time as Teagan.
Orla was having the time of her life, just drumming in her knees in tune with the song. The table would jump every five seconds and every time, Teagan would accidentally whack her head on the thick wood. There'd definitely be a bump.
It was a Quinn tradition for them to go on holiday on the exact day of the parade, Teagan had tagged along almost every year since they were kids.
Her parents hated the loud noise, but loved the money they would make thanks to the order getting drunk at the pub."Teagan, where's your suitcase?" Mary asked, as she scurried around the kitchen, looking for anything that she might've forgot to pack. Poor Mary hadn't stopped all morning.
"I gave it to Gerry" Teagan groaned, but tried to sound pleasant and pointed to where she last saw Gerry, not once opening her eyes.
Mary hummed in content and patted Teagan's shoulder as she scooted past her. Teagan spent most of her free time at the Quinn's, they had unofficially become her second family.
She spent a lot of time at Michelle and James's also, but the Quinn's house just felt homelier to her.The sound of the marching, the instruments and Orla tapping along was enough to make Teagan want to scream.
With a groan, she gave up on trying to sleep, so she dragged her head up and finally decided to engage in the conversation at the table, Erin and Orla were arguing as usual and Mary was going crazy trying to pack their whole living room.
Teagan smiled to herself, any sane person would've hated the situation, but Teagan loved the chaos.
At home there wasn't much time for being loud and noisy, her parents spent most of their time downstairs working at the bar whilst Teagan had to look after her sister."We need to shift ourselves!" Mary told everyone, taking a break from trying to put the clock in the suitcase. "We're the last Fenians standing"
Joe tried, (unsuccessfully), to calm Mary down.
"Relax, love we've got a two or three hours before the rioting starts""I'll not settle myself until we're over that border, Da"
When joe got up from the table, Erin abruptly turned to face Teagan.
A inquisitive look on her face.
"So..." Erin trailed off, shaking her head as a gesture for Teagan to speak.
