꧁ 𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐘 ꧂
𝐉𝐚𝗺𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞 swore on his life that he had never ran so fast. Not even for the ice cream van when he was a kid, Ach who was he trying to fool? He still ran after it.
But, Christ, the speed that he ran from his aunties house, all the way across town, to the O'Ryan family pub was fecking record breaking. The boy sprinted in the pub and practically leapt over to a stool at the bar, securely clutching his treasured video tapes close to his chest.
All whilst Teagan's Da looked at him with a confused look from his position behind the bar.
Who the feck was this lad who just ran into his pub like a penguin with its arse on fire?James struggled to catch his breath and sat on his stool for a few seconds, gasping for air. He had practically ran from His aunties house, halfway across town.
Finally, after what felt like hours of being glared at by - who he figured was Teagans dad - James gulped and looked up.
"Hi, I'm looking for Teagan" he said, struggling not to buckle under the pressure of her dads harsh glare.
From what Teagan had told him about her father, he was alright - albeit somewhat strict.
So why did James feel like he was going to spontaneously combust from the look her dad was giving him. He'd met her mum many times and she seemed to like him - although she was still a bit on the fence about the English thing.
"and who are you?" Her father asked in his best impression of a tough sounding voice, before moving away from the strange boy and moving to clean a few stray glasses with a cloth.
"I'm her....friend" he stuttered, clutching his video tapes that he brought closer to his chest. He angled his head to look into the back of the pub were the door to the upstairs was, hoping that Teagan would miraculously appear and save him. He had no such luck.
—He knew she was definitely home.
she had phoned Michelle telling her all about her new tv in her bedroom from a mate of pirate Pauline. Teagan had initially offered for Michelle to come round and watch their favourite movie, the exorcist
— Michelle loved that one line about what somebody's mother does in hell —
but before she could even hang up, James had grabbed his old video tapes of doctor who and ran all the way to her house."Oh, David?" Mr O'Ryan asked the weird boy in front of him. He recalled Teagan went on a date with a boy called David a month ago.
James awkwardly chuckled and tried not to look too pissed off. He was still salty about the whole David ordeal, but wouldn't bring it up because then Teagan would mention Katya. He'd rather forget about his mistake.
"Actually, I'm James...um....her bo-." James faltered under Mr O'Ryans inquisitive look and new sudden interest in glaring at him. "A boy. I'm a boy who's a friend. Of Teagan's. your daughter" he rushed.
