C 2 - The GUARD

A man in a uniform was standing there with an angry face.  Jungkook sighed and looked back at Taehyung, he softly spoke “He’s trying to get me out, so I should go” Jungkook let go of Taehyung’s hand and slowly drifted himself upwards, Taehyung whispered “Will you come back?” Jungkook looked at him and smiled, he replied “Of course, I will visit you all the time Tae” Taehyung liked the new nickname and blushed once again, Taehyung looked at him lovingly, fiddled with his fingers and spoke “Ok Kookie” Jungkook smiled his little bunny smile and Taehyung replied with his little boxy smile. Jungkook reached the surface and took a breath of air, he climbed over the pane of glass and dropped from the top of the tank. He fell into a few arms, the bangtan boy were there to catch him from hurting himself. One of the boys, Hoseok said “Eww, now were all wet!” All the bantan boys and Jungkook giggled and then heard someone trying to catch their attention. The Security guard was standing there looking at him, he spoke “Excuse me boy, but you should not have been in the tank especially with a dangerous creature like a mermaid” Jungkook climbed out from the boys grips and spoke with a little bit of spite “Excuse me Guard, but Taehyung is not a dangerous creature and as you can see he is not a merMAID but a merMAN!” The guard huffed and said “Breaking and Entering and talking back to an officer, The police have been called and are on their way here right as we speak” Jungkook huffed and said “We’ll see what happens when they get here” The guard and Jungkook ended up having a fiery argument while everyone else just watched. Taehyung just watched while getting upset that someone was shouting at his new friend. Taehyung tapped on the glass and got one of the Bangtan boys attention, the boy put his head against the glass waiting to be talked to. “Why is that man shouting at my Kookie? What did he do wrong? Is it my fault?”  Namjoon gasped as caught the other boys attentions as they soon placed their ears to the glass too, Namjoon spoke up “No Taehyung it isn’t your fault that he’s being shouted at, the guard is just obnoxious and just wants to pick on someone” Taehyung slightly smiled and whispered “Can I hit him for picking on my Kookie?” the bangtan boys smiled at the nickname and Hoseok spoke up “Taehyung, if you were out here, we would let you but you are in there” Taehyung got upset again but then had an idea. Taehyung swam away from the window and then swam incredibly fast around the tank and splashed water over the sides of the tank and onto the guard, it was as though he had a 2 ton bucket of water thrown over him as he fell to the floor in pain. Taehyung swam towards his original spot and saw all the laughter from Jungkook and the boys. The Guard stood up and walked over to Jungkook with a limp and grabbed his arm, Jungkook got pushed against the glass pane as the guard put some wet handcuffs on the boy, Taehyung was not happy at all. He took a breath and swam closer to Jungkook, Taehyung hit the glass pane next to Jungkook and tried to shout, “LET HIM GO, LET HIM GO” Jungkook whispered “Tae calm down please, look at you” Tae looked down and saw his tail was turning a deep blue. The guard was staring in disbelief, he didn’t know what was happening to the merman, he slowly backed away from Jungkook and tripped over himself as he ran off screaming “MONSTER! IT’S A MONSTER” What tae didn’t know was his hair had turned a dark blue and his eyes were fully black. He looked terrifyingly angry.

Taehyung was breathing heavily as he was staring around, flicking his eyes from human to human waiting for some kind of reaction. Jungkook stood up by himself and caught Taehyung attention, “Tae, its ok now, I’m ok now” Taehyung’s eyes began to return to normal as he calmed down while watching Jungkook for a sign of pain. Jungkook knew that Taehyung would get angry again if he knew he was in pain so he hid the fact that his shoulder was aching from the fractured shoulder caused by the guard. Everyone watched as taehyung took a breath and looked into Jungkook’s eyes, he softly spoke “Are you sure that you are ok? Your eyes are telling me otherwise” Jungkook slightly smiled and said “I’m fine taehyung, nothing to worry about” Taehyung pouted and said “Fine, you just don’t want me to kill him so you are hiding the fact that your shoulder is hurting” Jungkook looked confused but then spoke “How did you know?” Taehyung softly smiled “I can see it in your eyes that you are in pain so I just looked at the rest of your body to look for anything different and your shoulder is in a position which shows that its painful, I know you better than you think” Jungkook giggled and said “Can’t hide anything from you, can I?” Taehyung shook his head and let his hair woosh in the water creating small particles of blue sparkles float in the air. Taehyung saw them and gasped, not knowing what they were, he gulped and shouted “My hair is falling out!” Jungkook giggled and said “I don’t think it’s hair Taehyung, I think it might be a little bit of magic” Taehyung looked confused and said “I don’t get my powers until I’m 21” Jungkook thought and then said “When is your birthday?” Taehyung thought and said “30th of December” Jungkook got his phone from Jin and said “And How long have you been here?” Taehyung counted on his fingers and then said “16 years maybe 17, I was 4 when I got here so I might have got it wrong” Jungkook looked at him in surprise and said “That would make it your 21st birthday tomorrow” Taehyung gulped and said “Ok so tonight, I will turn 21 and I will gain my powers, great” Taehyung sighed and looked at Jungkook with upset eyes. Jungkook looked confused and said “What’s wrong? Don’t you want to have powers?” Taehyung looked at the gravel on the bottom of the tank and whispered “It’s not just that, to be able to to control my powers so that I don’t harm anyone, I have to have a mate” Jungkook smiled and said “I’m your friend Taehyung, so you are ok” Jimin and the other boys looked at him like he was stupid, Namjoon spoke “Jungkook, he means he needs a mate as in a partner, a lover, someone to spend the rest of his life with” Jungkook finally clicked and looked at Taehyung, he spoke “Ooh, do you know who it is or will they appear when you turn 21” Taehyung noticed the change in attitude on Jungkook and he slightly giggled, he spoke “If i choose at the right time, I can choose who I want to be my mate if I don’t then someone will be selected by the ocean” Jungkook had a small amount of hope in his eyes and said “You can choose, do you have someone already?” Everyone else just smiled at him and giggled, they knew what the answer will be. Taehyung smiled at Jungkook and said “I do have someone, I want to spend the rest of my life with” Jungkook looked upset and looked at the ground, he said “Oh, Ok then” Everyone including Taehyung sighed at Jungkook because he didn’t get it. Yoongi got annoyed and shouted “YAH! IT’S YOU, YOU IDIOT” Everyone laughed at Jungkook’s shocked expression and he turned to Taehyung, pointing at himself in confusion. Taehyung nodded while blushing and slightly smiled at him through the glass. A noise made everyone look around the area as 2 police officers appeared and stared at the merman in front of them, one of which stared with terror while the other in awe at the beauty in front of them.
