A God?

"I've been doing this for thousands of years. Your kind is one of the worst I've ever encountered..." He says sadly.

"This...this is not who we are..." I say, desperately trying to explain. "Really?" He asks clearly not believing me. Not that I blame him.

"I mean it's a part of us. The scared, angry, and dark part. But it's not the true us. It's not our hearts. At least not all of us. Yes, you are right there are some people like that but not everyone. But there is good in us. The kind, loving and selfless parts. Please you have to give us a chance. We aren't all like this." I practically begged the man.

His face turned cold before a thinking face appeared. "Fine, I'll tell you what I'll give you one chance..." He started. He then leaned back and grabbed a gun from the dead body behind him.

"Take this gun, put it to your head, and pull the trigger. If you do everyone else on this planet gets to live." He said placing the gun in front of me on the table. I looked at it unsure.

I slowly picked it up and was moving it to my head when he started talking again. "You don't have a family?" He asked. "No..." I said wondering why he's asking. "You don't have any friends?" He asked. "Yes, I do..." I said. He shook his head. "No you don't, not really," he said.

He grabbed my hands again showing me what my friends say behind my back. How they treat me when I'm not around. I wanted to feel anger about this but all I could feel was sadness and betrayal.

He looked at me sadly "or, you could come with me..." He took my hand again and showed me where he lived.

He showed me the plants, the people. The buildings, the technology. It looked like heaven. "You could become an auditor. You'll see the whole universe. You'll experience things you'll never imagine. Forget this planet and come with me. Let them die and you'll live a much longer life. And you'll live the life beyond your wildest dreams and get more power than you could never dream off." He said.

Then he finished off..." You'll be like a god."
