Hunter dreamed of blue eyes for the next little while.
He couldn't help it. They invaded his thoughts at all hours of the day, he dreamed of them while his parents lectured him, he thought of them while he was stuck in boring meetings with his father and he thought of them while he laid in bed at night.
Still. The person, whoever they were, was beautiful. They were gorgeous while Hunter was not. He was a disgusting, filthy, tainted soul and while he didn't know the person he dreamed about, he certainly knew they didn't deserve him.
His thoughts were so consumed with the person that one evening he snuck out, heading back to earth and starting to look for the person. Hell knew it would take quite a while, it being New York and all.
He finally found them however.
Leaning against a wall and watching the nightlife pass them by, Hunter walked up and tapped their shoulder gently, the person spinning around and smiling a little.
"Hello" They said, "we meet again hm?"
"Suppose so..." Hunter said, "I'm Hunter Bronte"
"Charlie Black" They said, "They/them pronouns, yourself?"
"He/him"
"Nice to know" Charlie smiled at Hunter who's knees felt weak. Charlie continued to talk, "you live around here?"
"...not exactly" Hunter said, "I'm from...well...it's a bit warmer"
"You're a demon" Charlie said abruptly and Hunter winced. He'd never been ashamed of being a demon before but with how Charlie said it, the shock and slight edge of fear in their voice made him shudder.
"I am"
"...Well, I've never been friends with a demon before"
Hunter raised an eyebrow, Charlie was quick to explain,
"My father doesn't allow friends, let alone demons...you seem a decent fellow...I'd hate to kill you"
"And you seem a decent fellow, I'd hate to die" Hunter smiled as Charlie laughed,
"So...mind being friends?"
"...not at all".
