"Good morning, or should I say afternoon?" Selena's aunt said to her as she came down the stairs and into the kitchen.
"Why didn't you wake me?" Selena asked as she turned on the coffee machine.
"You only flew in yesterday and you were up in the night, so I thought I'd let you stay in bed."
"How do you know I was up in the night?" Selena asked a little confused.
"Y/N told me this morning."
"Ahh I see. I hope this doesn't sound big headed, but he didn't seem surprised to see me in the kitchen at half-two in the morning." she said to her aunt as she sipped her freshly made coffee.
"He's known that you're family for a long time and him and Jonathan text all the time so he probably knew you were here once Jonathan did. Plus he's a little more mature than most his age and in football, he's probably just as famous as you, he gets asked for the odd picture when he's out and about." Y/N by no means understands how Selena has it, but he gets a taste of it.
Selena sat herself down at the kitchen table and saw a pile of open letters in front of her. Feeling a little nosy, she reached out and looked at the names on them, they all belonged to Y/N.
"He gets mail here too?" she asked her aunt.
"No. He brought them with him last night. They're all college offers and he likes to sit down and go through them with your uncle and act like he's interested."
"Act like? If he wants to play in the NFL then he needs a college no?"
"Yeah. Y/N hasn't committed because he has his heart and mind set on one and only one school. LSU, they just haven't sent him anything yet. The ones in front of you are all top ranked teams, on top of the many he has already been sent. Your uncle is trying to make him understand that LSU may never send one and he needs to, not commit but at least choose one ready for signing day."
"Always good to have a fallback. Are they playing today?" Selena asked.
"Yes. First game of the season against a pretty good team, the Lancaster Tigers."
"What's the team called again?" Selena asked.
"Our team?" Selena nodded. "The Diamondbacks. Come along if you like, I mean, you've never even seen Jonathan play in highschool, so it would be nice."
Selena took some time to think about what she wanted to do. On one hand she has absolutely nothing to do today or the next two weeks at the very least, and would love to go and watch Jonathan play, she's heard he's good. But on the other hand, she's finally got some free time and although expecting fans to ask for pictures while out which obviously she loves and is grateful for, but with how life has been lately, she would like at least one day.
"Hmm, I would like just one day without any people coming up to me but I could throw my hair up and put a hat on with some sunglasses." Selena said as she continued to think on the matter.
"You'd only get a few people anyway, nothing too bad."
"Yeah I'll come. See if Y/N is as good as you all say he is." She said, joking of course.
"He's probably better, he's 28-0 as a starter, if you count the two games he started as a freshman." Her aunt replied with a smile.

"It's filling up isn't it." Selena said to her aunt as she sat back down having just taken a couple photos with some people around them, the rest taking pictures of her thinking they're being discreet.
