"Oh my gosh! You're a life saver, Jughead Jones!" Polly, his wife's sister gushes.

"It's no problem." He says, rubbing the back of his neck with his right hand.
Polly hands him her twins, who are now six.
"I'll be back at four. Be good to uncle Juggie now, kiddos. Mom loves you!"
A "yes mama" echoes and they run off. Cartoons already playing on the TV.
"Good luck, Jones." Polly calls over her shoulder as she leaves. He chuckles at his sister-in-law.

Later on

"Who wants to play hide-n-seek?" He asks the six year olds.
"I do" They call in unison.
"I count?"
"Yup" They say, popping the 'p'. Then they are off to hide.
"10... 9..." He counts down when suddenly he hears a crash and then a loud shrill cry. He immediately jumps into action, running to find them. He sees Juniper on the ground, holding her knee.
"What happened, Juni?"
"I- I... "
"It's okay, honey." He coos. "Let's see."
He coaxed her hands away to see a scrape. "Juni, you scraped your knee. Uncle Jug can fix it." He says as he picks up the small red headed girl. "Come on, Dag, let's go clean up your sister."

As the uncle and the brother clean up her scraped knee, Betty gets home. Polly not far behind her. They enter the home together to see Jughead kissing Juniper's knee all better. The girl wiping away the last of her tears. "There all better!" He smiles at her completely unaware of his observers.
"Who wants ice cream?"
Juniper nods while Dagwood cheers. He turns around, holding Juniper.
He becomes red at the sight of the women watching him in amusement.

"You know what they say, Betty-"
"What, Polls?"
"Ladies love a man who is good with kids." Polly says smugly, while Betty starts giggling at her husband's cute face. They enjoy ice cream together while Polly gets to pick on Jug some more.
