I'm back, and writing a lil something after a few months of inactivity!
I have so many drafts saved where I start writing stuff and then simply abandon it-
so I decided to do something that takes a lil less energy and commitment!
I'm currently playing Johanna in a production of Sweeney Todd, and let's just say I've really grown to fall in love with the intricacies of her character, along with Antony's character!
As part of my character analysis I will be writing various short stories surrounding her and Antony's lives, mainly following the events of the show!
Being able to write various vignettes as I continue through the rehearsal process will help me to better connect with the character and explore her mind and her relationships!!
and as someone who deals with mental illness, and struggles with journaling and personal writing, this will most likely serve as an outlet for such emotions as Antony and Johanna have come to be somewhat of a comfort pairing, as I find great solace in writing about their story, so yeah!
so yeeee I'm very excited to get started!
so of course, considering this is based upon Sweeney Todd, I don't own any of the characters.
and I also must warn that there will be references to murder, cannibalism, rape, pedophilia, kidnapping, sexual matters, and period typical homophobia throughout the course of this lil ol' book,
so if any of that is triggering to you, then perhaps this is not the read for you!
and just a reminder that though I may showcase characters such as Sweeney Todd, or Judge Turpin in a sympathetic matter, I only do so as to accurately represented the conflicted feelings Johanna, as well as Antony hold for them.
I do not condone their actions, so just thought I'd point that out to everyone!
and I also want to point out that these vignettes don't take place in any particular order chronologically so yeah!
but I hope you enjoy my interpretation of Johanna and Antony, and my adventures with understanding who they are as people!
