The Clown

By Andrew Mills

I was walking home from a party in a dark and cold alley. I was looking at my watch, my

head was hurting, and I am hearing all these voices yelling  at me  in my head.  I stop and I see this guy looking at me he points at me and whooshes away.  I run and hide behind a dumpster that smells like deer guts.  I sit there for five minutes and then  get up.  I am still hearing voices in my head.  They are giving me a headache, and then suddenly they stop.  Then one voice says “I’m going to get you.”  Then I wake up.

I was sweating so bad, and felt like I had been running all night.  I was looking around my room and everything looked normal.  I looked at my watch and it had stopped at 2:30 a.m.  All the clocks in my house had stopped at the same time.  All of a sudden the phone started ringing, and I jumped with fear.  I  picked up the phone and said “hello” and the only thing I heard was heavy breathing.  I told them to never call this number again.  They said  “Dude, it’s your friend Billy Bob.”

“Sorry, I had a rough time last night, but it’s over.  What did you guys need?” They told me about an awesome party that Billy was having that night and I promised that I would be at the party.

I started to get ready for the party about five o’clock.  I went to close my window and it was then that I see the same face looking  at me through the bushes.  His face looks like a clown.  It is the same face from my dream last night.  I rub my eyes and look out my window again.  This time he isn’t  at the window.  I think that maybe I am tired from last night and I’m just seeing things.    Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me.  I grab my coat and head off to the party.

I decided to try a different way to get to Billy’s  house.  I feel like someone is following me.  I end up going down an alley and it seems to look familiar.  It kind of looks like the one in my dream, but I wasn’t worried.  I arrive at the party safely, and stay for about two hours.  Billy was right it was a great party.  I say my goodbyes and start my thirty minute walk home.

When I get to the alley things start happening.  It got really cold and dark.  I start hearing all these voices in my head.  They were whispering and I could barely hear what they were saying.  I looked at the time on my watch and it said 2:30 a.m.  Then all of a sudden the voices stopped.  Someone said,  “I got you know Punk,” it was the clown .  He just looked at me for awhile and then pointed at me and gave a big yell that sounded  like  Godzilla.  He wobbled away and I ran after him.  I couldn’t find him so I ran behind a dumpster and it smelled like
