This is the fourth time she's felt that tug at the sleeve of her sweater. She opened her eyes to find Sophia standing by her. "Sophia, honey, what is it?"

Demi was trying to keep her voice down so she wouldn't wake you. You laid next to her, sound asleep and unaware that this is the fourth time that Sophia has been in the room since you fell asleep only a couple of hours ago.

"I can't sleep." The small girl said, slowly growing frustrated and a little scared. Demi had to admit that at first, she was a little annoyed, but seeing how frightened Sophia looked as she stood in front of her made it all vanish.

"Okay. That's alright, baby. Come on, I'll take you back to bed." She pulled the covers back and quietly walked out of the room and across the hall to Sophia's room. She turned her light on and placed her back in her bed.

Demi sat down by her and placed a few kisses to her head. "Can you lay with me?" She asked as she reached out for Demi. She didn't only want to be held, but she needed to.

Demi didn't hesitate a single second to crawl into bed next to her. It was small, so small that her feet were dangling over the edge of the bed. But she didn't care. Sophia wanted her, and she was gonna be right there with her.

"Okay, lovebug. Close your eyes." Sophia just shook her head and Demi tickled her making Sophia giggle. It was Demi's favorite sound, one she would do anything to hear. "No? What's gotten into you, my love?" Sophia snuggled closer to Demi and put her head against her hoodie.

She shrugged her shoulders and Demi stared at her, watching as the tears pooled in her eyes. "Oh, no, no. No, come on now, my baby. No tears for me, okay? You tell me what's wrong and I'll fix it."

Sophia grabbed Demi's hand and rested her small one over hers. "I love you, mommy." Demi grinned at the little girl, leaning down so she could give her a little Eskimo kiss. "I love you so much more. What's going on in that little brain of yours, huh?" She tickled her side again and smiled as Sophia laughed and curled up closer to her.

"Sing." She smiled, all the little baby teeth in her mouth showing as she did. Demi started to sing how long will I love you, quietly as she ran her fingers through Sophia's hair. "Your voice is pretty," Sophia spoke softly, her eyes on Demi's as she watched them light up.

Demi reached behind her and grabbed the little elephant by her head. She put it by Sophia's chest, right by her heart as she hugged it close. She reached for her blanket and wrapped her up in it, kissing her head as she kept singing to her.

Sophia fell asleep not much later. Her hands clutched Demi's shirt. As much as she wanted to go lay back down with you, she also didn't wanna wake Sophia back up and she also didn't wanna let her go.

Demi tried to make herself as comfortable as possible on her bed and she ran her hand up and down Sophia's back.

"Love you, my little princess. Sweet dreams." She whispered and fell asleep right there, curled up to her favorite little human and the little girl that owned her heart, every single inch of it.
