The keys made a loud clacking sound as they fell into the key bowl while Amara kicked off her heels. Today should have went better than it did, she should have gone to Jamie's office and heard her say 'Amara wow...your ratings are crazy, whatever you've been doing keep doing it' no instead she was told she, 'hey Amara...guess what?...you suck and the audience hates you...but it's not you'. She went to her bedroom and pulled off her clothes, swapping it for a tank top and pajama pants before heading straight to the kitchen for the Pate her mother had made her. Unfortunately, her phone started ringing loudly, pulling her attention away, a few taps later she was on a call with Gabrielle.

"How was today's shoot?"

"Good and I don't want to talk about it."

"So... not good? Was it that bitch Kita? she was interrupting you again wasn't she...I told you to start cutting her off, jealous girls stay jealous unless—"

"It's not like that...I'm just tired and don't feel like speaking, I want to eat and go to sleep, ok and I'll call you back when I have the chance."

"Wait..wait, should I come over or are you coming over tomorrow night?"

"What? Why are we going anywhere?"

"we talked about this...high school reunion, we agreed weeks ago."

Amara sighed and headed to the Kitchen; the pate was calling her name but that didn't mean it distracted her from the topic

"Oh yeah, how could I forget? come over tomorrow night and we will get ready together. Can I go eat now?"

They said their goodbyes and Amara headed on with her day not knowing how quickly the next day would come. Gabi had come over that night, her outfit in a garment bag and large pink curlers in her hair

"You and these jumpsuits Gabi, what would you wear if you didn't have that ass."

Gabrielle lightly scuffed

"If I didn't have this ass, you would see me buying jeans at outlet malls, oh and don't get me started on skirts and shorts. Do you know what my life could be like if I rock bicycle shorts without looking like a Kardashian mini me...should I keep going or are we good on you coming for my jumpsuit?"

"We're good on that...what do you think about this?"

A quick look up and down and a head shake had Amara pulling off the sparkly black dress and trading it in for a burgundy dress and asking again whether it was right but once again she got a no-go, after another outfit fail Amara rolled her eyes and gave up.

"Whatever, it doesn't matter what I wear, I'm popping in, saying hi and leaving, the last thing I want to do is relive high school."

"Amara it was not that bad...we had good memories"

"You're romanticizing it because we're now older and successful, don't you remember freshmen year when they used to interrupt your presentations to say they didn't understand what you were saying even though you barely still had an accent?"

"Those were isolated situations."

"For two years every time I walked down the hallway, they would start clinching the lockers screaming earthquake."

"semantics"

"Really? what about when they marked Cory's shirt to prove that he only had just one? Maybe you are also conveniently forgetting the uniform shirt cost eighty dollars apiece."
