Saturdays was a godsend; it was a day when the adults aren't working, and the children aren't learning so everyone gets to sleep in. Unlike most people Amara didn't make a big deal out of Saturday, as far as she was concerned it was just another day. This Saturday though was special, everything felt better, maybe the world over night just became amazing or it was Amara herself that felt better, whatever this high was she was addicted and never wanted it gone. Gabi who had stayed over the night had woke her up for breakfast and they sat in the dining room, porch doors opened for sunlight.

"I just can't believe she trapped poor Aaron before he could disappear from her life"
"I may not like Teri, but she stayed with that fool all of high school...even when he cheated...I think she's the poor one"

"Gabi please everyone knew Aaron was going to get drafted since we were in ninth grade, she bet on a stallion and rode him through."

"Yeah but he allowed himself to be rode so who's at fault"

"Gabrielle, she knew she had to keep him, so she stayed, I bet once they got to college and she had to fight against the professional ho's and jersey chasers the only way to keep him was to pop out a baby....if I was Aaron I'd get a DNA test...and a prenup."

"Amara you are evil"

"but am I wrong..."

Gabi stayed quiet and looked down at her coffee

"I thought so, but last night was great, I'm so glad we went"

"I'm sure you had a good time...I never thought jock was your type"

"Hey, reformed jock, he's a doctor now"

"Whatever...when are you going out again?"
"I don't know... he gave me his number, but we'll see...our schedules are complicated"

"When are you going to vet him?"

Amara rolled her eyes and took another sip of her coffee

"Do I really have to.... I mean he's a doctor."

"Doctor does not mean unproblematic"

They moved there sits closer together and Gabi flipped open her laptop

"Ok let's see...he joined the 2013-alumni Facebook group...and left his Instagram...here we are, Nicholas Velez...currently working at saint Johns...loves his family.... regularly volunteers"

Amara smiled and leaned back; she's seen what she needs to know

"Is this is actually his Instagram? it's very........professional."

"What's the problem with professionalism, he's still in residence of course he keeps his social media professional."

"Yeah but he has to have a private one for friends and such...right?"
"Maybe he just doesn't have a need for one."
"Maybe your right...nope you're wrong, I found it and he follows me"

Gabrielle leaned in closer to the computer as she searched, five pictures in, she had the results

"Well you can't go out with him"

"Oh god what is it...girlfriend?"

"Worst"
"Wife?"

"even worst"

"...children"

"Honestly...worse than that"

"What could be worse than children"

Amara took a second to think and once she reached the conclusion her eyes widened

"No...no, he can't be"
