Chapter 4
A few weeks later, the football season ended and Manchester City won against Liverpool in the grand final. Harry was gutted he didn't make it to the finals this year, but on the other hand, he was happy that Louis won in his first season. Harry snuck in, to watch the grand final. Louis performed really well Harry thought. Not knowing, Louis actually saw Harry cheering his team on. Hoping he would catch Harry after the game, Louis quickly bustled through the press and media, answering questions and taking pictures. When he was finally done, the stadium was empty, except for the players of Manchester United and Liverpool, and their coaches.
Louis didn't want to have to deal with an after party, and the media that came with one. The team van dropped him off at his apartment. He waved off his team mates who were acting like imbeciles and went to his bedroom.
"Why didn't he stay? He must've come for a reason right? I miss him." Louis' thoughts got ahead of him, and he fell asleep in his track suit.
----------
The next morning, Louis was reading the paper with headlines of Manchester United winning and whatnot. He took a sip of his tea and flipped to the sport section of "The Sun". In a small box was a picture of Harry from the night before and a short article:
Last night, Chelsea footballer, Harry Styles was spotted at the Grand Final for this season's Premier League. He had posted earlier on his twitter page that he was going to his old friend's, who's name has not been released, birthday party. It was quite surprising to find him in the stands supporting Manchester United, more specifically, A-grade player. Louis Tomlinson. Why did Harry have to cover this up? Is there something we don't know? We know very well, that Manchester United and Chelsea don't get along much. This could cause some controversy in the football world.
Louis put down his tea and folded up the newspaper. He got dressed quickly and walked out the door. He walked out with a purpose, not exactly knowing what it was yet. Louis' feet took him about the city of Manchester, walking into random bookshops and cafes. He walked and walked until he met a familiar face...

They settled in a quiet restaurant in a quiet part of Manchester. The silence between them was actually painful. They only spoke to order their meals, but otherwise they just stared at each other and their meals. They sat there putting spoonfuls of food in their mouths until someone finally decided to talk.
"You know he misses you right? He was actually psychotic when I told him his next game would be against you."
"Gemma... He told me he loves me. After that game, ya know? He told me me loves me. I just didn't know what to do and then he was gone. I saw him at the game yesterday and I wanted to go talk to him but it was too late." Louis started sulking in the middle of the restaurant. Not wanting to make a scene, Gemma brought Louis out and they walked to her car. He hopped in, having full trust in her. Louis looked onto the road, watching the familiar shops and streets speed past. They reached the end of town where the houses started getting bigger and the roads weren't as busy. Having driven down this road many times in his life, Louis had a vague idea of where they were going.
Before long, they'd gotten to their destination. Gemma pulled into the driveway and Louis glanced to the left. His childhood home stood there proudly. His mum had never moved houses so he decided he would visit her. Then Louis looked up. It was Harry's house. Gemma must've had some reason to bring him here. He just gave her a confused look and she smiled a big toothy grin back.
"I have a surprise for you Louis." Gemma simply said, before she got out of the car, opened Louis' door and dragged him to the front door. DONG! The loud bell sounded throughout the house and the garden. Gemma's smile never left her face, and neither did Louis' confused face.
The door swung back lazily, and a half asleep Harry appeared at the door in nothing but his boxers. Covering his eyes from the brightness he mumbled,
"You have your own keys Gemma, why did you have to ring?" Harry rubbed his eyes to get the sleep out of his eyes. Once he could see clearly, he realized who was with his older sister. Eyes wide open, Harry didn't know what to do with himself.
"I forgot my keys, plus, it only added more suspense for Louis' surprise if we rang the door bell." Gemma stated like there was nothing wrong with the current situation they were in. Harry was still in shock, Louis had practically fainted, if you call awkwardly leaning up against the door frame fainting.
"Uhm, so... Do you wanna come in?" Harry asked croakily. Gemma dragged Louis from his uncomfortable position, but failed to get him in the house.
"Can you help me out Harry?" Gemma asked, handing Louis over to Harry by his hands and grabbing his legs. They lugged him to the lounge room and lay him on the couch. If anyone else had seen them bringing in Louis, they would think they'd knocked him out or were in the process of hiding his murder.
Harry pulled Gemma into the kitchen roughly and looked her straight in the eyes.
"Why did you bring him here Gemma?! You know how I feel and I've told you he doesn't feel the same way. It's not high school anymore! How did you find him anyway?!" Harry grumbled until noise was unable to leave his mouth.
"He was walking around in Manchester when I was going shopping. We sat down for lunch, which was quite awkward, until he just started pouring out Harry! He still loves you, and he's truly been trying to talk to you. It's just too hard for him!" Gemma started backing up Louis and told Harry everything. By the end of it, Harry's face was red with tears.
"Gemma, where are you? Harry?" Louis had woken up and heard Gemma and Harry speaking in the kitchen, to be welcomed with the sight of Harry crying and Gemma by his side. Harry ran to Louis and scooped him into his arms. They held each other like their lives depended on it and Harry sobbed into Louis' shoulder.
"What's wrong Harry?" Louis whispered into Harry's ear.
"Everything, Louis. Everything."
