FIORE ARCLucia Dragneel's Point of View
My eyes fell on the quiet guildhall. The atmosphere feels as if the same event before the lacrima hunt began and the only difference was that even the rain was being as woeful as the people inside the building, the black clouds covering the rays of the sun accords to the black clothing that everyone is wearing.
"I wonder if somewhere out there Oceane is also mourning for some news she had gone unheard." Archive started from my side shaking a glass of wine he had for the third time today.
"Or if Oceane is even safe out there." Stella retort from inside the bar counter who was part of our conversation to begin with.
"The news is pretty big for some of us to take huh." December, beside Stella who was doing her best in shaping the candy she has in her gloved hands stated her focus not leaving on the candy in front of her.
"I..." I trailed off looking down at the teacup I'm clutching with my two hands warming me up from the cold that the rain gives. Noticing the three of them quiet down to listen, I decided to continue. "I was expecting this outcome. It was a possibility afterall."
Tears from my eyes dropped on my hands. "But I didn't know it would really hurt like this?"
My quiet crying turn into a series of sobs the drops of the tears not stopping. I can hear December dropping her task to envelop me into a tight hug with Stella and Archive tapping in both my shoulders to calm me down.
"I didn't want this. For my prediction to be certain. For Oath-san to..."
I couldn't continue what I want to say, I was choking on my own sobs that I had held for a long time. From the vanishing of my friends, my cousins, my sister. And now, we had lost someone that could never return. Oath-san was a time mage. And Tyrant-san proved my words true, Queen Charlotte and Oath-san was our savior by combining the universe one the minute the lost aegis is activated, and for that Oath-san's life is the price.
We undergo a series of denials and outburst especially from my brother but we cannot do anything about it anymore. And just today, Tyrant took us to Oath-san's grave that he requested himself, at the center of Magnolia's forest, the place where he used to go fishing with his grand daughter."I don't know how to face Yumeko-chan one day." I said to myself, my grip on the teacup tightening.
"I feel you Lucia." Stella said rubbing my back in a soothing manner. "But I feel more ashamed if I go and face Yumeko-san in a state like yours."
I paused, looking up to face my brother's lover. She's usually timid and quiet and its quite rare to see her this serious looking.
"I will cherish the life that Oath-san gave me. So that I can stay by Yumeko-san's side and she won't feel lonely about the loss of her grandfather."
"That is a good idea." Archive stated going back to his playful flirty mode. He stood up slamming his hands on the bar counter causing everyone to look at him. "This is enough! If we mope around like this we'll get nowhere. Oath-san's death will be useless."
He pat my shoulder giving me a thumbs up a cheeky grin plastered all over his face before he strutted to leave making his way to the second floor where a smirking Kiara sits, putting his right hand on his pocket as his left hand waved in a bored manner. "I'll be on the library, Lucia follow in suit later okay?" And with that his figure dissappeared with Kiara following closely after him the sound of the library's for closing.
