A scream erupted throughout the small town that the kishin was on a rampage in. Mei and I ran towards the source of the noise to see a exact copy of the victim. "Mei! Whip form!" I yelled trying to get the kishin's attention. It's head snapped towards me. I smirked as it abandoned it's previous task and ran at me. Then it did something that surprised me. It morphed into an exact copy of me, whip and everything. My grey eyes widened but I more or less kept my focus on the thing that was charging me.

I raised Mei, and swung at the thing when it was in range. Mei collided with Rin number two's back and she screeched. Well, that just seemed to make her mad. She ran at me with a super natural speed. Unfortunately she was so fast that I could not dodge her attack and Mei number two hit my arm.

My sweater did nothing to prevent the pain either. The searing pain ran up my arm and down my spine. I gritted my teeth in pain but tried to ignore it. Rin number two smirked at me when she noticed the pain that shown in my eyes.

'Rin. Focus. Ignore it.'

I looked down at the left over space on the handle and saw a girl with purple eyes and white hair's reflection. She smirked at me. 'Well? Defeat her. And we can go get some cheesecake.'

I smiled and nodded at her. Focusing my gaze on the smirking Rin number two, I ran at her. 'Mei, katana form.'

The whip in my hands morphed into a katana. Rin number two's eyes widened. She didn't have enough time to copy me as I already slicing her down the middle.

I panted as I stared at it's kishin soul. Mei morphed back into a wolf and quickly ate the red soul. "Can we go get cheesecake now?"

~TIME SKIP BROUGHT TO YOU BY PURPLE~

We trudged down the street of Greece. My belly was stuffed and I was very content. The smile that I wore on my face faded as I remembered that we were not going back to death city. And we have no where to go... heheheh..... Oh wait! I know people.

I smirked and turned an my heel. Mei followed in suit and started walking with me in the direction we came from.

After what seemed like hours but of minutes, we arrived at our destination. We stood in front of a large, white door. I raised my hand to knock but hesitated. I stopped to catch my courage that was trying to slink away, and pounded on the door. About a minute later the door was opened by one of my favorite people. My uncle, Tom stood there smiling a warm smile down at me. Tom wasn't my biological uncle, but we were pretty close when I was little. "Hey Uncle Tom!" I said happily while looking up at him. "Why if it isn't Rin! And Mei!"

I nodded as he ruffled my red hair. "Come in come in!" He exclaimed and stood to the side to let us in. Mei and I slowly walked into his large house. The walls where a dark red, like my hair and had silver accents. There was a wood, spiral staircase that goes up to the second and third floor of the house, a door way to my left that led to the kitchen, and a mahogany door that I was never aloud to explore when I was younger. Tom led us to the kitchen. "So. Why are you two here?"

"Well, it's a long story..."

"Iv'e got time."

I sighed because knew I had no other choice then to tell him the story. "So, you know how I was living in death city?"

He nodded.

"Mei and I were out getting cheesecake and we heard screams and an alarm. We thought nothing of it until we heard gun shots. So I abandoned my delicious cheesecake and ran to the source of the shots. I had Mei turn into fans and we defeated the kishin that was in a weird outfit and that had a sack of souls slung over his shoulder. After she ate his soul, we heard yelling behind us. I turned around to find a boy and two girls. The boy had a black suit on and three, white stripes on his head. The taller girl had sandy blonde hair, blue eyes and was wearing a short red sweater top thing and jeans. The shorter one had blonde hair and blue eyes also. She was wearing the same top except she had shorts and boots on."

Tom and I where now sitting at the dinning table and Mei was lying by my feet.

"Anyways, the tall one looked very annoyed and the short one was smiling and laughing. I sighed and ran away. Once I got home made a bagel and fed Mei. However she started growling at the window. I went to check outside and heard a male voice say something about symmetry. I looked over at the three from earlier, crouched under my window."

"That's creepy."

"I know. Anyways, the tall girl apologized and explained what they were here for. The black haired guy wanted to 'make me symmetrical'. So I let him and after that he insisted on staying the night so I didn't 'ruin the symmetry'. I knew that I couldn't decline. When I woke up the next morning Death the Kid-"

"Isn't he Lord Death's son!?" Tom interrupted.

I nodded and carried on with my story. "He's that boy that I acquainted. And the tall girl's name is Liz and the other one's Patty. Ok. So i woke up and Death the Kid was trying to stuff me in some sort of sack thing."

"Why?!"

"I was getting to that! I guess it was to get me to go to the DWMA by kidnapping me. I was going to go with him anyways though. So i went to the DWMA and talked to Lord Death and met some people and was sent on a placement test. However I think Death just wanted Mei and I gone and I intend to use the mission to escape the clutches of Death." I finished.

Tom nodded. "Well you can stay here as long as you need!" He stated happily.

I got up from my seat and enveloped him into a hug. "Thanks a lot."

"Also Rin, and Mei," Mei perked up from where she was laying. "You'lle have to go back one day. and face the truth."

"Yeah we know."

~

I woke up to wolf slobber all over my face. Mei was looming over me with her tongue out ready to start licking me if I didn't wake up. I reached up and pulled Mei back down into my arms as she nuzzled her head into my chest. "I miss you Mei..."

After about an hour of staying like that, just cuddling, Mei and I trotted down the grand stair case and into the large dining room. Tom sat at the head of the large, mahogany table. Fine china was placed on the table, freshly polished silver wear sat at each end of the plates, and beautiful, floral teacups.

When Tom heard us trotting down the stairs, in once again, a traitorous journey, he smiled at us and waved us over to the other end of the table. I took a seat in the green, cushiony chair and Mei lied down next to her fancy food bowl. The maid piled pancakes up on my plate, with syrup dripping off the top pancake, where a small square of butter was placed, and cascaded down the sides and pooled at the bottom in a pool of dark gold. "How did you sleep?" Tom asked, breaking my train of thought.

"Fine," I answered.

"And you Mei?"

She howled a little, happily in response and went back to wolfing down her breakfast.

As soon as we finished and I thanked Tom for the meal and hospitality, we left the mansion behind for the Greek streets. My Greek is a bit rusty but it's good enough for simple conversations. Like ordering cheesecake.

People gave me odd looks. Or should I say gave Mei weird looks.

~Kid's POV~

Stein rolled into the classroom on his weird chair, with a saddened look on stitched face. I raised an eyebrow as he started talking. "I'm sorry to report the meister Rin and Mei have failed at their mission and have gone missing in the process."
