A dark haired girl paused at door number seventeen. This was her room, she thought to herself, readjusting the box she was holding in her hand. Printed across the top in purple ink was C WRIGHT. Cara Wright. Her new name. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long to get used to. It was very different from her old name. Ella Emelson. She looked very different to her old self as well. She used to have mousy brown hair, pale skin, dull blue eyes, ugly glasses and very short. Now though, she had long wavy black hair, brilliant bright blue eyes with 20/20 vision, Spanish features and tan, and was kinda tall. She'd even gotten a three ear piercings per ear, a nose stud piercing, and a little blue star tattoo under her right earlobe. Personally, she loved it.
Cara opened her door and looked into the room. It had two beds against opposite walls, two desks, windows along the back wall, two armoires, and a pale pink rug on the pale hardwood floor. Cara grimaced at the walls. They were an ugly dark orange colour. The desks, armoires and bed frames were white and wood, so it wasn't all ugliness. In the middle of the room, on top of the pretty rug, lay six boxes printed with her name on them, and three boxes with JVJ Williams stamped in pale pink ink. She lay the box she had on the right bed. She hoped her roomie Williams didn't mind her claiming that bed. Then she went about unpacking all of her things.
First she placed Williams boxes on her side of the room, and moved hers to her side. Then she quickly ripped each box open to get a sense of how much space everything would take up. She had four boxes of clothes, one box of linen, a box of leisure books, school books and stationary, and a final box with makeup and accessories. First she made her bed, putting left over linen on the top shelf of the armoires. When doing the Order, she'd been going for a blue and white theme, with touches of pink. To bad how it clashed with the ugly orange walls. Next she hung up or folded all her clothes, and put them away in her armoire. Finally, she put her books, stationary, and make up away on either the desk or her beside table. Just as she was putting the finishing touches to her desk, there was a knock at the door.
"Come on in," she said, taking a seat at her desk, swivelling around on the no backed stool. A girl with dark red hair that reached her upper thighs and completely purple eyes was standing at the door, staring at her. "I'm Cara. You must be Williams. I hope you don't mind that I took the right side of-" The girl cut her off.
"I'm Coral. I'm just here to deliver more boxes for Williams. I'm one of the older students who makes a bit of money by delivering boxes to the dorms."
"Oh, sorry. Yeah no worries. Just dump them on the left side of the room." Coral dashed back out of the room, before bringing in a trolley with at least fifteen boxes on it.
"Shit! How many boxes are there?"
"About sixteen. There's more to come I think." Coral laughed at Cara's expression. "Some kids spend ages in the Order, thinking very carefully." Coral quickly and effectively placed boxes on Williams bed and the floor. "Cya around Cara, feel free come say hi any time." And with that Coral left shutting the door.
"Her eyes were completely purple," she muttered to herself, laying down on her bed. "Even the whites!"
Suddenly there was another knock on the door.
"Coming!" Cara jumped up from her bed, opening the door. Before her, leaning casually on the door frame, was a very tall girl. Taller even than her, and both had heels on.
"Hey," said the tall girl. "You didn't happen to go by the name Ella, before did you?"
"Gabi?" Cara asked, surprised and excited.
"The one and only," she said with a smile. "Although the name's Alaska Green now."
"Well I've become Cara Wright. Come in, come in." Cara stood back to let Alaska in.
