Okay, an authors note, this one used to be a one shot but I have re-written it to fit into Carnival Nights, but if somethings looks strange or anything you will know! I hope you enjoy because this one is a little bit more Malec but also Jace and Isabelle.

Alec stood outside of Taki’s waiting for his boyfriend. He was a little nervous not because they haven’t done this a million times already but because Isabelle had forced him to dress up, so instead of his usual jeans and t-shirt he was now wearing a long sleeved dark sweater, dark jeans (which he had put on when Isabelle was out of sight) and a blue scarf from Magnus. He knew Magnus loved that scarf because it brought out his eyes but it was still not as comfortable as he’d wish. Damn his sister, he thought and leaned against the brick wall behind him, he wondered why Magnus took so long to come here. They where supposed to met up five minutes ago.

“Darling I thought we said inside.” Magnus said coming out of the restaurant, he had purple pants with a golden belt and a long sleeved blue sweater and a bright yellow coat over it all. Alec smiled lightly at the sight of his boyfriend.

“No, we said outside see.” He responded holding up his cellphone where it was clear they had said outside.

“Right I got inside because Kaelie got in a fight with another faerie.” Magnus smiled and kissed Alec gently before looking at him. “Isabelle I guess?”

“Yeah, please don’t comment it, as soon as we’re back at the apartment I’m going to change.”

“No babe, you look gorgeous it brings out your eyes.”

“I wasn’t just talking about the scarf Magnus.”

“Still.” Magnus said and tilted his head before placing a hand at Alec’s back and bringing him inside the dinner.

They took a seat in the far end of the room, it was warmer inside and Magnus ordered a cool drink for both of them. When Kaelie, who now had messy hair and her shirt on backwards disappeared Magnus placed his hand above Alec’s.

“Don’t tell me you brought me here to confess something really stupid, like Chairman Meow escaped, again! Or that you misplaced your glitter or something like that.” Alec said frustrated but Magnus just laughed at him.

“Nope, the glitter is in the bathroom beside my hair gel and the cat is asleep on your side of the bed. But that wasn’t what I was going to say. I just… err… well since I’m the man in the relationship-“

“You are not, we are both the man in the relationship Magnus, and we’re both working and bringing home the food.”

“Well I pay for it so,” he smiled while playing with Alec’s fingers. “But the thing is, our anniversary is coming up and I thought of either a party or a gift.”

“You make it sound so important. Magnus I had already said that we can just stay at home and cuddle.” The last word came out as a whisper, Alec usually didn’t say things like this in the open, and he was more outgoing in the bedroom than he thought he would be.

    “But I think it’s important.”

“Which anniversary is it, really, I know we already had our first year, first month was ages ago, we’re not expecting a kid right, cause I thought you just joked about adopting. Please don’t tell me you’re bringing home a little chines baby girl.”

“First of all it would be a girl but not chines I was thinking Italian or something like that. And secondly I was joking about adopting, at least for now. Thirdly it’s our first kiss anniversary.” Magnus said putting up his fingers at each number, blue sparks where playing on his fingertips and Alec couldn’t help but smile.
