It took Robin a long time to realize that something was wrong in his life.
Whether it had been him, or someone or something else, he just never really sat down and thought about it. He realized this when he found himself tired more often than usual and couldn't remember a single event, big or small, he had cared for.
"You okay over there?"
He had even forgotten where he was.
Robin perked his head up, the white strands of hair that had fallen over his face swooping back. He looked at Ike, who sat on the other end of the dining table with his phone in his hand.
"Y-yeah?" Robin finally managed to mumble.
Before anything else could be said between them, Marth had brought over the large tray of red pasta he had just learned to make from Pinterest. He had been trying to get into cooking more. And Peach, being the cooking and baking fanatic, had only encouraged him on more.
"Making it from scratch was harder than I thought." Marth huffed, wiping the sweat off his forehead. Ike chuckled in response. He picked at it with the fork that had been set beside him earlier, poking the fork into the food.
Swatting his hand away, Marth continued, "Also, surprised I'm saying this myself, but eat quickly. We still have that party at the Smash Mansion we have to attend."
Robin groaned, his head leaning back onto the chair.
"Oh come on, don't be so pissy." Marth hissed.
"You're right. I shouldn't be so pissy if I'm staying home anyway."
"Nope nope nope. We're ALL going. We have to."
That was the thing with having the 'mom friend' constantly around you(roommates, nonetheless). You couldn't half-ass anything, nor miss out on human interaction. It was a pain.
"Where are the other two, by the way?" Ike asked as he transferred a small portion of pasta onto his plate.
"Roy and Lucina will be here soon, don't worry."
Maybe the fact that Robin also had four fucking roommates was also why he was so exhausted all the time. I mean, Lucina wasn't really a problem at all but the guys, OH, these guys, were so painfully extroverted.
"You know what, I'll just eat at the party," Robin muttered, barely audible enough for the other two men at the table to here.
"And yes, I actually will eat, mom." Robin sassed(to Marth, obviously) as he left the table to his room.
"You better!"
Ah, the life of living with the mom friend.
__________
20 minutes into the party.
Robin sat by himself on the staircase of the mansion, half-engaged to his phone.
The few people that had gone up and down the stairs had said hi to him when they passed, and he could've sworn a couple was doing it upstairs, but besides that, all human interaction was--whoop! gone.
"Robin!"
Robin looked up to see Lucina standing at the bottom of the staircase. She had a small, subtle smile painted on her face as she waited expectantly for him.
"They're doing a toast right now, I figured I better get you before Marth does."
"Thank Naga for you." Robin sighed as he got up from his place.
