Ranks and Tests

Three years later.

I'm currently preparing myself to head towards the military camp, where Falbium Asmodeus is located. I wanted to increase my rank, I don't want to be a low-class devil all my life.

I also wanted my own peerage.

And, as far as I know, there are three ways to raise a devil's rank.

First is by Contracting, doing Devil jobs by granting the client's wish.

This includes having a high number of contracts completed with high-quality rewards.

A Devil's contracts will garner points over time, but it is a gradual process unless the human customer is someone with great power and influence.

This is considered to be the slowest method. A promotion through contracts are seen as more of a tradition.

This is so slow that Akeno Hemejima is still a low class devil at the start of canon despite having many years of doing contract, and besides my mother won't allow me to go to the human world, so it's out.

Second is by participating in Rating Games, this includes earning high points, public esteem, and opinion in official Rating Games.

This is the modern path of ascent in Devil society, as it was designed to promote and train new powerful Devils.

The Rating Game allows reincarnated and low class Devils to hone and show off their skill and abilities against others in a controlled non-lethal environment.

Performing well in the Rating Game raises reputation and leads to promotion.

Some of the Top Rankers in the Rating Games have all reached Ultimate-Class, With the 7th rankers being the highest-ranked reincarnated Devil. This is by far the best method to raise one's own ranking.

Yes, the best method... Buu~t I'm just a low class devil, with no peerage, and no king, besides I still can't participate in a rating game with my age, so its out too!

The last is what I choose and is also the best method for me, Military Accomplishments. Even though there are no wars right now, there are still many strays, and some formed a group that the devil army has to exterminate.

Currently, I'm sitting in a chair and answering some test questions. Where am I? Well I'm in a room where all who wanted join the army take an exam.

There's so little of us, all who wanted to join the military are 98% low class devils, and our numbers, well there only about two thousand of us!

Well, I can understand, as most devil prefer the rating games to increase their ranks, especially the nobles.

In the where I'm at, there are less than fifty of us, I could've ask my mom to use her connections(Venelana) to directly put me in the army without taking the tests.

But I don't want that, I wanted to do it with my own effort.

Even in my past life I...... Never mind, I don't remember much about the my past life anymore. I started to forget about it, but it doesn't really matter to me anymore.

Anyway, everyone in the room is a low class devil, and our proctor is a middle class devil with a rank of a Sergeant, oh devil's military has rankings too.

Private- Low Class, Corporal- Low Class, Sergeant- Middle Class, Lieutenant- Middle Class, Captain- High Class, Major- High Class, Colonel- Ultimate Class, General- Ultimate Class, Major General- Satan Class.

Once your military rank is high enough, then you will achieve a promotion to a higher devil class.

Example, once a low class devil is promoted to Sergeant, then he or she can take a test to be a middle class devil, aside from that, they will have their own troops they can command.
