Dec and Ali's Wedding

Chapter 5

They walked, tightly holding hands, out of the main hall, through the dining hall and then into the reception area where they could get some peace and quiet from others, knowing that no one would be around.

"Al, wow. Have I told you how beautiful you look today?"

"Yes you have, but it wouldn't hurt to hear it again." Ali replied with a smile on her face.

"I'll say it now and every day for the rest of our lives. I love you so much." Dec leaned up to kiss Ali, and she responded by placing her arms around his neck while his arms were around her waist, "I can't keep my hands off of you, or my eyes. But I can't wait to give you my letter later."

"Neither can I Deccy. I just can't wait to finally get you all to myself and start our lives together, properly, as a married couple. I was wondering though" Ali said sheepishly.

"What is it, Al?" Dec had a feeling of what she was going to say as they had spoken about it before.

"Would you like to start trying for a baby?"

Dec stared at Ali in shock and delight. He quickly closed the gap between them, put his hands on her cheek and kissed her intensely. Ali returned the gesture and Dec pulled away gently, "of course I would. You have no idea how much that means to me Ali." They both hugged each other as Dec had tears in his eyes and laughed "honestly I don't think I've cried this much ever. I need to stop!" Ali stroked the back of Dec's head, knowing what it felt to him to be able to have his own kids, knowing that some people, like his best mate Ant, struggled with.

The rejoined hands and decided to make their way back into the main hall to see the other guests. Dec led Ali by the hand back into the main hall, and he rushed over to Ant to tell him the good news.

"Ant, we're gonna try for a baby. Me and Ali, we're gonna give it a go!" Ant hugged Dec, knowing just how much it meant to him, having grown up in a large family and wanting to have that feeling as a whole family again. Lisa hugged Ali after over hearing the news.
