Chapter 11

While we all were talking and having a good time my phone goes off and I tell Hondo that I will be right back in a few minutes.. I go out to the back yard where it's quite and I can talk without having to shout..
"hey jam what's the update with Drake??" I asked my brother..
"He's awake and asking for u to call him later.. They already gave him something so that he could sleep through the night... " Jam says..
I look up and smile through my tears as Hondo pokes his head out and asks if I'm okay..
"yeah babe come here I want u to meet my brother here.. " I say as Hondo sat next to me on the swing outside.. I was on a video call so it was easier to talk to my family like that because our family is very unique I guess u could say.. But in a good way.. Our momma is hard of hearing and has always been like that ever since I can remember, our papa is the best and most sweetest man ever and he is a retired police chief now he is the commissioner in Houston.. My 4 brothers are a mixed bag of ingredients, first off there is the oldest one is Drake and he is 48 years old and he has bipolar schizophrenic and has been on his meds for a long time now, Julie is his very sweet and loving wife and they have 3 kids, then there's Jamal and he is 46 and he has been in a relationship with his partner Charlie for 12 years now, and then there are the twins Oliver [Ollie] and Xander, they are 44 and Ollie has down syndrome but he doesn't let that get to him and he and I have always been very very close... And I'm the baby and only girl in the family besides momma 😂.. I'm 36 years old and I am close to my family..
After me and Hondo and Jam talked for a few minutes more, I promised to video call momma and papa tomorrow and talk to them about everything dealing with Drake.. Our momma was severely hard of hearing after she had an accident and it affected her hearing.. And Ollie is almost deaf himself, so the whole family knows how to sign language like pros and I love to teach people who want to learn some basic stuff..
