(5 minutes before act 2)
"Five more minutes!" The stage manager called out to everyone.
"Hey Ben!" Harry ran up to him as the makeup person was fixing Ben's face makeup.
"Hey Harry. What's up?" Ben asked, then the person finished and walked away.
"There's something I want to ask you." Harry started.
"Sure. What's up?" Ben replied.
"Eliza..." Harry was going on.
"What about her?" Ben wondered.
"You two aren't together are you?" Harry checked.
"No." Ben smiled. "No weren't not."
"Two minutes!" They called.
Ben looked in the direction of the voice, then back at Harry. "Why you want to ask her out?"
"I don't know." Harry shrugged. "I thought she was cool when we would rehearse, but you two were together."
"Wait what about that guy you were dating?" Ben asked.
"Yeah... That didn't work out. He was really clingy. Well we should get ready to go on." Harry explained.
When it was time Harry and Mal walked on the stage with the curtain still closed. Harry sat on a bench holding a guitar. Mal stood a few feet away and waited. The curtain opened and everyone was taking their seats.
Mal walked over to Harry playing the guitar. "Hi." She greeted him.
Harry looked up, then smiled when he saw her. "Hi."
"Uh do you mind if I join you?" Mal asked.
"Course not. I'd wanna join me too." Harry replied with a laugh.
Mal chuckled a little and looked away.
"So, hey, you know, I've never seen a chick quite like you." Harry was telling her.
"Chick? Really? Hold on while I lay some eggs." Mal tried making a joke.
"Okay." Harry said with a smile.
"No that was a..." Mal was going to say. "Never mind. Thank you for the compliment. It's nice." Then Mal gave him a smile.
Harry chuckled again. "Sure."
The lights went off on their side of the stage and the lights turned on, on the right side with Ben and Eliza walking onto stage.
"So, Lela, how come you Bikers don't get along with the Surfers?" Ben asked as they were walking.
"Oh." Eliza replied looking up. "It's always been like that." She looked up at Ben, then back down. "We're not supposed to have a lot in common. Plus we both want Big Momma's."
"Some of them seemed pretty cool. Like that guy Tanner?" Ben was telling her.
Ben looked down at Eliza, who was looking up at him. They stop as Eliza was looking right in Ben's eyes.
"It was very courageous of you to charge the stage like that and save my life." Eliza told him taking his hands.
"Courageous? No, no, no." Ben responded. He looked away, then back to her as she was nodding. "Maybe. I mean, I'm sure anyone would have done the same. Even a Surfer."
"You're my hero." Eliza stated.
"Hero?" Ben questioned.
Then he started leaning down as Eliza was leaning up. They were about to kiss.
