Saying Goodbye

"Y-you mean you're gonna go....?" Mal was trying to get the words out.

"I'm gonna go to the college." Ben stated.

"Really?" Mal asked.

"Yeah. And I know it's gonna be hard for us, but we'll be okay we're strong." Ben explained.

"Yeah. I'm just really gonna miss you." Mal replied looking upset.

"I know. I'm gonna miss you too." Ben slightly smiled before pulling Mal into a hug.

(A few months later/Graduation day)

"There they are!" Jay called as Mal and Ben walked up to him, Carlos, and Evie.

"Can't believe we actually did it." Mal said.

"Yeah! Now we're free!" Evie expressed as she wrapped her arm around Mal.

"Hey you guys." Eliza greeted them from behind.

Ben and Mal turned around to see Eliza and Aaron.

"Hey congratulations." Ben said hugging Eliza.

"Right back at you." Eliza laughed.

"So what are we doing later? We gonna have a celebration or what?" Evie was asking.

"We definitely are!" Mal chimed in.

As they were discussing their plans Ben looked over and saw Harry with a few of his friends.

"Ben how about you? Are you in?" Mal looked over at him.

"Huh? What? Uh... Hold on I'll be right back." Ben said, then walked over to Harry. "Uh hey man."

Harry's friends walked away as Harry looked over at Ben.

"Oh hey Ben. congratulations." Harry smiled.

"Yeah, yeah you too." Ben nodded with a slight smile. "So hey we're gonna have a little celebration tonight. You wanna come?"

"Really? You want me to come? You haven't spoken to me for months." Harry mentioned.

"I know and that's why I want you to come. I don't want to leave high school knowing that I never gave you another chance. So what do you say? Will you come?" Ben explained, then asked.

"Yeah. Yeah I'll come." Harry agreed.

(Later)

"This place brings back memories." Ben said walking up the hill with Mal.

"Yep. Now come on. I don't get to have you for much longer." Mal pulled his hand and ran up the hill.

"So Ben when are you supposed to leave?" Carlos wondered.

"One week." Ben answered, then looked over at Mal. "So I'm hoping time goes by slow." Ben wrapped his arm around Mal and pulled her closer.

She rested her on his shoulder. Ben looked down at her and kissed her forehead.

(One week later)

"Morning sleepy head." Jay greeted Ben as him, Mal, Carlos, and Evie were standing around his bed.

"W-what are you guys doing in my room?" Ben asked jumping up a little.

"We're going to spend the whole day together at the amusement park." Evie answered.

"We figures it was a good idea since you have to leave in two days." Mal said.

"It's gonna be all of us. The four of us, Eliza and Aaron, Chad, Audrey, Jane, Doug, Lonnie, and Harry." Carlos explained.
